Dana White has been a central figure for the UFC. He has been around and seen the promotion become the best in the sport of MMA. While this consistency has helped him grow the promotion to the state it is in today, Dana White gets very little time for himself and doing things like surfing social media and messaging. He does, however, sometimes find a way to spend some time on social media and one such session helped him save a little girl’s life who lived in Phuket.
Tuptim Jadnooleum’s mother “Kru Nai” Rattanachai is a teacher at Tiger Muay Thai Phuket. Tuptim was suffering from a severe liver issue that needed a transplant, and the family was struggling for funds. The story was broken on the internet by Ben Pittsley, who sent out a plea for help. He pointed out Dana White and got flak for doing that, but as destiny would have it the plea caught White‘s attention and the girl was saved. Years later, the girl’s mother sent out a message thanking Dana White, again.

When the news was broken, Tuptim had not more than a week in her hands. If not treated and helped with a transplant, she could have succumbed, but Dana White became her angel and sent them a $50,000 fund, helping save the girl’s life. Today the little child is healthy, and the family values the UFC boss highly for helping them in dire days. After, 12 years of the transplant, a recent story from the girl’s mother posted on Instagram read, “And Thank You again @dana white who saved her life… and giving her beautiful life until today.”

Dana White wants to continue seeing the girl he saved
White helped the girl back in 2010, but he got an opportunity to meet the girl only in 2018. Former UFC fighter, Mike Swick, arranged the meeting in Phuket. Talking to Yahoo Sports, Dana White had mentioned how he wanted to keep seeing the kid and didn’t want it to be the last time. He said he wanted to invite Tuptim and her family to Vegas for a UFC fight.
While Dana White is often accused of not paying his fighters enough, this deed of his remains commendable and fans all around the world were happy to see the girl survive. Do you think the UFC should do more things like this? Let us know.
