Months After Heartwarming Gesture for Sarcoma Cancer Amputee, Conor McGregor Responds to His Wholesome Message Thanking the UFC Star

There are different shades when it comes to Conor McGregor. For some, he is a ferocious knockout artist and a trash-talking loudmouth. But for some, he is a compassionate human who is always ready to extend his helping hand. ‘The Notorious’ tries to uplift all those around him and, more so, his fellow compatriots. The proud Irishman has a strong sense of empathy for people who have been wronged by unfortunate circumstances and such is the case with Richie McPeak, a sarcoma cancer amputee.

McPeak recently turned to his Twitter handle to share his painful and heart-wrenching struggles. He recalled one incident when his family discovered him on the floor and tried to wake him as they cried and screamed. Further, he asked for prayers for his family, who require some moments of peace and sleep. He needed a glimmer of hope to bounce back, which came in the form of a gesture by ‘Mystic Mac’.

Conor McGregor gave a new lease of life to Richie McPeak

When the 34-year-old learned about the struggles of McPeak, he sent him a few essentials of McGregor FAST to uplift him and help him train. That included signed gloves and an exclusive jump rope. McPeak, moved by this gesture, responded by sharing a training video. Now, a month later, he has updated on his health.

In the long tweet, McPeak wrote, “I am much better now“.

Furthermore, he opened up about one of the frightening episodes of his life as he recovered from sepsis or blood poisoning. He said. “Feeling much better, went home yesterday and have been recovering. Thanks for all the kind messages and prayers.”

The emotional tweet attracted also the attention of the UFC cash cow. He had a few encouraging words for McPeak as he replied, “Praying for you Richie! You are The Man! 🙏❤️”.

This was the second time when the former UFC champion had struck a chord with McPeak. He thanked the Irish fighter for the love that he showed to him and his family. In addition, he announced to never forget McGregor’s hospitality and kindness as he shared another video of him skipping rope.

He penned, “Thanks for all the love you’ve given me and my family my brother. You are legendary. We will never forget your hospitality and kindness. This was the last time I was skipping rope. Mcgregor Fast. I’m sending prayers and blessings for you and your beautiful family for all your days.”

This interaction between McGregor and McPeak reflects the humane and empathetic side of McGregor, which sometimes doesn’t make it to the headlines.
