When a group of 1200 fighters accused the promotion as well as Dana White of using unfair advantage over them as well as their competitors, the entire top brass of the promotion was put on alert due to the proceedings. The plaintiffs which included fighters such as Jon Fitch, Brandon Vera, and Luis Javier Vazquez, amongst several others sued the promotion for a massive $1.6 billion in damages.

After fair proceedings, the promotion was to settle $335 million in a full settlement but Judge Richard Boulware denied such a settlement and forced TKO to reconsider. And after months of tussling, the parent group is willing to pay $375 million in the final settlement, “We have reached a revised agreement with Plaintiffs to settle the Le case with terms that we believe address Judge Boulware’s stated concerns,'” TKO settlement stated.

The statement further added, “While we believe the original settlement was fair — a sentiment that was also shared by Plaintiffs — we feel it is in the best interest of all parties to bring this litigation to a close. As for the Johnson case, that process is in very early stages, and a motion to dismiss the complaint remains pending.” The promotion will be waiting to finally settle this lawsuit considering that it’s seriously hampering its legacy.

While having a conversation on MMAFighting, Lee emphasized that he might have made a mistake due to his ‘opinionated’ statements.

“It’s a little crazy to say that at this point in my career given how much I’ve actually done for the company. But I think I’m very opinionated, and I think that may have rubbed Dana the wrong [way] a few times. I made some comments about the APEX, and I guess that may be [something that bothered him],” said Kevin Lee.

He further added, “But listen, this is what I do. This is part of being me. If people ask me a question, I give them a true and honest answer. And at the same time, I’ve never done anybody wrong in this industry — from media guys to publicists, the PR, and everybody backstage of the UFC, I feel like everybody I’ve touched, I’ve done right. So at the end of the day I hold my head up, we fight this next fight on Saturday.”

After his last loss against Rinat Fakhretdinov, Lee announced his retirement from the sport but he regrets the fact that he couldn’t fight in front of a larger audience. Well, now that we are aware of Lee’s statement, let’s move on forward to Conor McGregor, who appears to have another opportunity to make a comeback.

While in conversation with ‘Submission Radio,’ the former featherweight champion was asked about his opinion on fighting Conor McGregor in the future, to which the Aussie said, “Yeah, of course, you know what I mean. Like, the fight’s always going to be one that’s exciting. That’s something right now—it’s like, title fights, exciting fights—that’s what you know what I mean. And maybe short notice fights, that’s the thing that excites me, you know what I mean. So, you know, I’m obviously doing good now, back in training, training hard as well.”

He further added, “But, yeah, just what excites me, you know, is doing a contender fight in the featherweight division. You know, that doesn’t really get me out of bed, I’ll be lying if I said that it would, you know what I mean. So, it would have to be a belt on the line or something like that to get me excited. And obviously, the Conor McGregor fight is very exciting, so that’s definitely something that I would do.”
