It was almost about 48 hours when the UFC added a short-notice fight between Evan Elder and Darrius Flowers. Surprisingly, it wasn’t a big deal for the former, who defeated Flowers with a submission, following which he stressed the shooting incident that took place in Pennsylvania’s county of Butler. During the post-fight interview, Elder stood up in support of Trump, while also claiming to be “glad” about the former president’s safety.

“I heard they just tried to whack my boy Trump. I’m glad that man’s okay. Long live Trump. Let’s go, baby. Trump 2024,” said Evan Elder. Meanwhile, Donald Trump has yet to comment on the situation, but as far as his son is concerned, he claimed that his father was in “great spirits.” Now, our second big news comes from UFC Denver, involving Rose Namajunas and Tracy Cortez.

Tracy Cortez, unfortunately, saw the end of her undefeated UFC run after getting dominated by former two-time 115-pound champion, Rose Namajunas. The former champion, following the fight, raised some questions regarding the fiasco that went down during the weigh-in for UFC Denver. ‘Thug Rose’ believes that something was wrong with the scale that was used to check Cortez’s weight.

“I do feel like, I don’t know who’s in charge with making sure that the scale that you check your weight on before you get on the official scale, there’s supposed to be the same. And they were not the same. So, whoever is in charge of that, I need to talk to because that was very, to me it was very suspicious or something, it didn’t feel right,” said Rose Namajunas during the post-fight presser.

Will Dana White look into this matter? We’ll have to wait and see. But now, let’s talk about the biggest news today so far, which was the UFC fighters’ reactions to Donald Trump’s assassination.

Besides getting the support of Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington in a couple of posts on social media, Donald Trump garnered reactions from two of the most prominent UFC figures, Dana White and Conor McGregor. The UFC CEO was nowhere on American soil when the assassination attempt went down at Butler, Pennsylvania, but after learning about the failed attempt, he shared a post on Instagram, addressing the issue, praising Trump while also promising to show up beside the former president at the Republican National Convention.

“I’m praying President Trump is 100% healthy… He is the toughest, most resilient, AMERICAN BAD A** on this planet… I can’t WAIT to stand up on stage with him on Thursday and introduce him at the Republican National Convention,” wrote Dana White. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor also expressed how surprised he was at Donald Trump not living the life that he’s living in his late 70s after earning a significant amount of wealth as a businessman while complimenting the former president for showing so much love for his country.

“A 78 year old multiple billionaire he should be on a yacht on the med touring golf courses. But he is not. He is in Pennsylvania spitting out bullets! Running for the love of his country! God speed Donald! God bless the United States,” Conor McGregor wrote on X. Another reaction came from a former champion, Sean Strickland, who called Donald Trump a “Savage.”

He tweeted, “Trump is an utter savage… Man gets shot and still is for his people… Utter savage.” This incident has certainly shown how many people support Trump, especially in the UFC, a promotion that he’s a fan of.
