It’s never great to hear about a professional athlete, let alone a UFC fighter, having a brush-off with the law, which was the case for the UFC bantamweight fighter, Casey Kenney. Reports claim that the police handcuffed the 33-year-old in his state of Arizona, his hometown state. If you’re wondering why that happened, well, Kenney’s been slapped with assault charges. It was MMA reporter J. Torres who broke this concerning news. However, there are times when such news appears to be rumors. But in Kenney’s case, the story appeared to be the truth after the bantamweight contender’s arrest record appeared on a government website.

While Casey Kenney is facing legal issues, he has yet to face anyone inside the Octagon since 2021. Till now, the investigation hasn’t come out with a full report, but his girlfriend’s mother shared a brief footage of Kenney, who was standing outside her residence while she called law enforcement. We will have to wait for further developments on this front. Meanwhile, here’s a look at the next big story.

The UFC CEO was in a really bad mood during the recent Contender Series press conference. Arguably the biggest UFC event ever, UFC 306: Riyadh Season Noche UFC, is on the horizon with less than a month to go. With just weeks left for the PPV, Merab Dvalishvili injured himself during a training session, enraging Dana White as it gives rise to chances of the main event against Sean O’Malley falling off. The fact that ‘The Machine’ decided to drop a post on social media, updating his fans about it, the UFC CEO called Dvalishvili “dumb,” in an indirect manner.
However, Merab Dvalishvili claims it’s just part of the training he’s doing for his upcoming fight. Hence, he responded by warning Sean O’Malley of what was to come on September 14. “Sean O’Malley, I’m coming for you. This is my third training session today. I got [a] little cut today, but I’m telling you people, this is nothing,” Dvalishvili stated on an Instagram live session. It will be interesting to see if this injury turns into a really bad problem for the Georgian star in his quest to win championship gold.

Is Conor McGregor snubbing Michael Chandler?
For well over two years, Michael Chandler has been as patient as no one in the UFC ever before. He’s been on the hunt for that ‘red panty night’ fight against Conor McGregor, which many people don’t think is worth it. Well, it seems like the people might be telling the truth because the Irishman has given a troubling pointer about replacing his comeback opponent with a former rival. Two of the biggest UFC fighters ever included two battles between two of the biggest icons of the sport, Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.

Given how financially successful the fight was, there’s no doubt why ‘The Notorious’ has been asking for a trilogy fight against the Stockton native. Yet again, after Conor McGregor came across a fan-made promo package for his second fight against Nate Diaz, he tweeted, “Only the proper goers do rematches!” Could this mean he’s still gunning for the Diaz fight so much that Michael Chandler might lose his opportunity? Although it would be an absolute waste for ‘Iron if he misses out, fans might like the idea of watching these two icons one more time.
