The UFC authorities recently made a small error that created massive speculation among the fans. In a promotional social media post related to UFC 291, they mistakenly mentioned that the card would contain two title fights instead of the single ‘BMF’ title bout between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje. They mistakenly labeled the Light Heavyweight bout between Alex Pereira and Jan Blachowicz as a title fight, too.

Amidst the current situation of the Light Heavyweight king, Jamahal Hill, giving up his title, this mistake created massive rumors in the UFC community. However, Mike Bohn from the noted MMA coverage house, ‘MMA Junkie’ reported through his Twitter profile that the UFC authorities had confirmed their error and the Pereira vs Blachowicz fight would be a regular co-main event with three rounds. His tweet read, “UFC official tells me this is a typo and Blachowicz vs. Pereira currently remains a three-round, non-title fight”.
