Thereafter, we will shift our focus to the news of Henry Cejudo, planning to make a drop back into the flyweight division and take on a former champion. Finally, this roundup ends with Ronda Rousey. Apparently, the former champ has made some claims about the UFC, but it’s on a very serious note.

Merab Dvalishvili’s friend and training partner, Aljamain Sterling, already knows how good Sean O’Malley is after he dropped the title to him. As such, the Georgian star is pulling out all the stops ahead of his chance to win the title at UFC 306: Riyadh Season Noche UFC. Dvalishvili’s intense training got him injured as he received a nasty cut over his eyebrow. Understandably, Dana White came unglued on the title contender, labeling him as “dumb”. O’Malley, on the other hand, also blasted the Georgian by warning him that this fight should not fall off.

However, Merab Dvalishvili is continuing his training despite the recent setback. With just over three weeks left for the fight, he posted a video of him doing some pad work, while captioning the video, “24 days out 🦾 We are working! Vamos,” giving a little nod to his Mexican fans. Of course, there are some worries about his cut and if Sean O’Malley will exploit that injury. It all remains to be seen when we arrive on September 14.

A return after three years in the bantamweight division has not served Henry Cejudo all too well. After back-to-back losses against Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili, ‘Triple C’ is considering a move back to flyweight. That’s because all Cejudo cares about at this point in his career is to win a championship. “I’m after gold now. I think if I go down to 125 pounds and stay disciplined, I don’t think there’s anyone that can beat me,” the former double champion told ‘MMA Junkie’.

A move to a different weight class brings new challenges and Henry Cejudo seems particularly excited about the prospect of battling former two-time champion, Brandon Moreno“I think there’s a fun fight with Brandon Moreno. He wanted to fight me at 135 and then he backed out like a little b*tch,” said ‘Triple C’ while taking a slight swipe at the ‘Assassin Baby’. Would you love to see Cejudo at 125 pounds? Let us know what you think after you take a look at the last story of the roundup.

Cris Cyborg and Ronda Rousey are two of the most highly decorated MMA fighters in history. However, they never crossed paths in the UFC. Meanwhile, Rousey recently mentioned the now-Bellator fighter, claiming that she used banned substances and that almost destroyed the whole women’s MMA scene. “Cris Cyborg’s pumped to the f***ing gills with steroids. No one wants to watch that cheating a** b*tch. Everything just tanked. The division was dying,” Rousey told Chris Van Vliet.
