A number of fans might agree that the UFC legend, Chael Sonnen’s habit of trash-talking hasn’t left him even after his UFC retirement. Recently, another incident took place to stand as a testimony to this fact. Amid the talks of the coveted billion-dollar fight between the tech tycoons, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk, Sonnen recently appeared on Ariel Helwani‘s podcast, The MMA Hour, and made a revelation that was later denied by one of Mark Zuckerberg’s representatives. Sonnen talked to Helwani, stating, “Zuckerberg has told me that he has agreed to fight Elon Musk at UFC 300 and it was a very big deal”.

However, Sonnen’s claims were shot down. As reported by TMZ, one of the Facebook co-founder’s representatives debunked Sonnen’s claims, saying, “I have confirmed with Mark that he did not call Chael Sonnen”. Well, who do you think is true here? Sonnen with his habit of trash talking or Zuckerberg’s representative confirming he was not involved in the issue?

John McCarthy derided Dana White for going against his own words

Despite the UFC supremo Dana White’s justification in favor of Musk vs ‘Zuck’ not being a “gimmick fight”, noted former UFC referee, ‘Big’ John McCarthy was hardly convinced by it. On a recent episode of the Weighing In YouTube podcast, McCarthy bashed White, taking a number of digs at his nature and justification of a “gimmick fight”.

It was apparent that ‘Big’ viewed this Musk vs ‘Zuck’ bout as nothing but a “gimmick fight” since they weren’t professional fighters. He took his first shot at White’s justification of the bout stating, “Well, if that’s not a f***ing gimmick fight, I don’t know what is”.

McCarthy continued bashing White as he mentioned, “Dana White talks one way in one week and then he’s gonna switch. Dana’s gonna do what Dana can make money at”.

He took his final shot at the UFC president, expressing his disappointment at the situation. He said, “You don’t want to see this. This would be an embarrassment. These guys are not gonna fight. It would be the most ridiculous and stupid thing ever, and it would not break any records. It is an embarrassment that Dana would say that he’s gonna do it. It’s a joke, stop!”

Whose side would you like to choose? Dana White, who is possibly breaching his own words but making this fight happen? Or John McCarthy, who doesn’t want White to run behind this “gimmick fight”?

Dustin Poirier picked his post-UFC 291 opponent

Most UFC fans are already aware of the UFC 291 main event to be held between the famed UFC Lightweights, Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier and Justin ‘The Highlight’ Gaethje for the coveted ‘BMF’ title. But as it seems, ‘The Diamond’ also had worked out his plans for his next bout after UFC 291.

Amid one of his ‘Poirier’s Louisiana Style Heartbeat Hot Sauce’ promotiaonal campaigns on Twitter, the former UFC Interim Lightweight champ had one of his fans asking him, “Who’d do you plan to beat up for the belt after you beat up Justin? Charles or Islam?”. Poirier revealed his intentions in a now-deleted tweet stating, “I think Charles [Oliveira]“.
