In a conversation with Adam Zubayraev on ‘The Hustle Show’, the podcaster asked Chimaev about his opinion on ‘The Eagle’s tax evasion troubles. However, the Chechen Wolf swooped in to defend the former undefeated UFC lightweight champion. As per reports, Nurmagomedov owes more than $3.4 million to the Russian government in unpaid taxes. Needless to say, this has attracted a boatload of attention towards the former MMA fighter.

But Khamzat Chimaev stood in support of Khabib Nurmagomedov. ‘Borz’ said, “Well, I didn’t really follow. I heard the guys say he has problems there. But I don’t know how reliable it is or unreliable. Doesn’t make anyone happy, of course. Such an athlete definitely doesn’t make anyone happy, if an athlete has achieved something and competed for some country, then he gives you such a hit.”

Chimaev claimed that ‘The Eagle’ gave it all for his country. It didn’t paint a good picture for the fight fans to see one of their favorite fighter’s possessions being seized. ‘Borz’ continued, “He’s being bothered, or his house is being taken away, or something so ugly is not good because the guy played for Russia. Everyone still considers him a Russian. You understand?”

No doubt, Nurmagomedov has successfully secured a place in the fight fans’ hearts with not just his record, but also with his students’ records. But now, let’s take a look at the second story, where Movsar Evloev takes a shot at the ‘Funkmaster’.

Movsar Evloev shoots fire at Aljamain Sterling following his withdrawal from UFC 307

Aljamain Sterling was all set to land against Movsar Evloev at UFC 307. However, the former UFC bantamweight champion took to X and announced that he had to pull out of the fight because of an injury he sustained while training. He claimed that he needed a bit more time to fight someone like Evloev.

Even though he pulled out of the bout, Sterling put forth a challenge for his slated opponent. He asked Evloev if he was willing to take on the fight sometime in December. However, the Russian mixed martial artist wasn’t willing to give up his spot at UFC 307.

Taking to X, Evloev responded to Sterling and wrote, “I see Aljamain announced on his YouTube channel that he is out of the fight. I’ve been training for 4 months and would like to stay on this card and fight anybody, I’m not sure if the UFC can find someone to fight me but I worked really hard for this fight.”

We have finally reached our last halt, as we take a look at one of the UFC CEO’s announcements. It is indeed linked to a boxing fight.

Dana White announces a boxing fight

Dana White took to social media and made an announcement that did not align with the UFC. He said, “What’s up everybody, I’m about to film the Contender Series then I’m jumping on a plane and flying to Dublin, Ireland for the boxing match this weekend. Friday, September 20th from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, Walsh vs Runowski.”

The UFC head honcho further reminded the fight fans to tune in and watch Anthony Joshua land against Daniel Dubois on the 21st of September. No doubt, White was pretty excited to see Callum Walsh fight Przemyslaw Runowski in his homeland. But the UFC boss announcing a fight for the squared ring caused quite an uproar in the fighting community.
