Jorge Masvidal gave out the conditions for his retirement

The ‘BMF’ of the UFC, Jorge Masvidal, was going through a rough patch in his career. ‘Gamebred’ had his last victory against the noted, ‘Nate Diaz’ at UFC 244 on 2 November 2019. But since then he tasted three consecutive defeats in his three last outings. Lately, Masvidal revealed that if things went the same way, then his retirement won’t be far away.

Talking about his upcoming UFC 287 bout against Gilbert Burns, Masvidal revealed, “this could be the last” bout if he doesn’t manage to win. In the ‘Countdown’ video for UFC 287, Masvidal further stated, “If I lose, I am pretty much calling it quits. But a win against Gilbert [Burns] means that things are headed into the right direction.”

A lot of fans might agree that Masvidal will probably give it all since this bout might prove to be his last one in the UFC. It also may take the bout to a whole new level since he would have almost everything at stake.

Belal Muhammad revealed the names he would like to fight next

The known UFC Welterweight, Belal Muhammad, was having a dream run in his UFC career. The 34-year-old was on an eight-fight win streak in his last nine fights, only one of which ended in a no-contest. A lot of UFC fans and Muhammad himself had expressed grief at being snubbed off of a title shot. Hence, Muhammed decided that he would fight only better-ranked opponents so that he can inch closer to a title shot.

Further, ‘Remember The Name’ also gave out three names in his own division whom he would be looking to fight. In an interview with ‘MMA Fighting’, the Chicago native stated, “If it’s going to be somebody, it’s going to be either Usman, Colby, or Leon. It’s only fighting upwards from here. I think that’s the only way I’m going to be guaranteed anything.”

A lot of fans might be in good agreement with Muhammad’s decision. The UFC’s nature of depriving him of a title shot could only be answered with wins over better-ranked opponents. It also might grant him his much-awaited UFC Welterweight title shot.

Darren Till hinted at a transition to boxing

The UFC world received a shock when the famed UFC Welterweight, Darren Till, was cut short of the promotion’s roster. But, even after his UFC departure, ‘The Gorilla’ didn’t seem too worried. Instead, he revealed that his phone had “blown up” with various offers post his departure.

Recently, Till gave out one more hint about his future venture. Talking to his sponsors, Till described how, despite having multiple other options, boxing can be his next thing to do. He stated, “The thing for me is probably going to be boxing”.
