Things got a little out of hand during the recent press conference for Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal. A lot of punches were thrown between both camps, but ‘Gamebred’ escaped without a scratch while the Stockton native refused to take part in the fiasco. However, it was not good news for Masvidal’s trainer and coach, Jorge Capetillo, who got swollen during the mass brawl. As such, the former BMF champion wasn’t too happy about it.

“They went after the most mature dude. He’s like a father, like an uncle. They went after him. They ain’t go after a young buck,” Jorge Masvidal told Fight Hype. This incident has fired up ‘Gamebred’ even more than he intends to finish the fight rather than leave it to the judges. “Like I said earlier, it’s not going to the judges. And not because of a cut, or nothing, but because of a clean KO. That’s what I’m training for,” Masvidal would add. It remains to be seen who gets knocked out or edges past by a decision on July 6.

Conor McGregor updates fans amidst cancelation rumors

Is Conor McGregor going to fight or not? That’s been the question fans have been asking recently after several speculations of his comeback getting scrapped surfaced following the cancelation of his UFC 303 press conference. As McGregor came out to apologize to his fans for the cancelation, he wouldn’t specify the exact reason why the press conference fell off. But now, ‘The Notorious’ has come out to share a subtle message on Instagram.

Even though there are serious concerns about the fight falling off, Conor McGregor seems to be actively training for his return as per his recent Instagram post. This had led fans to believe that he might just be playing some kind of mind games with Michael Chandler, who returned home to Nashville after leaving his training camp in South Florida. But what does this mean? Is the fight still on? Well, according to the UFC’s website, it is going to happen, but the card is always subject to change.

This is certainly an alarming situation for fans who’d been waiting for International Fight Week ever since Conor McGregor announced his June 29 return on New Year’s Eve in 2024. Nevertheless, we still don’t have any official word about the UFC 303 main event getting canceled. We can only hope that it doesn’t end up getting scrapped since it’s been almost three years since we last saw the Irishman inside the eight-sided cage.
