With another blitzkrieg of a performance at UFC 303, talks about Alex Pereira moving to heavyweight have spurred dramatically. When Joe Rogan brought that idea up to ‘Poatan’ following his KO win against Jiri Prochazka, fans appeared to be pumped about the prospect of watching the Brazilian probably take on Jon Jones, and even Pereira himself did not deny wanting to move up soon. Meanwhile, ‘Bones’ had kept his eyes on Pereira and finally shared his reaction regarding the 205-pound champion’s heavyweight move.

Jon Jones is all open for a contest between him and Alex Pereira. However, he wants to do that after he’s done cementing his legacy in the heavyweight division against former two-time champion, Stipe Miocic. But guess what? Jones doesn’t want to make things too easy for Pereira because he demands that the Brazilian star beat interim champion Tom Aspinall before getting a chance to fight him. And when it comes to the outcome of their fight, ‘Bones’ claims to do the same thing he did to Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. Is this the fight to make? It remains to be seen. But before now, let’s shift our focus to Colby Covington setting his sights on a new opponent.

Have an interesting take?

It seems like Colby Covington is ready for his next challenge, but in an unusual callout, the Clovis native called out former lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, who recently looked like he had added some weight. In an interview on the ‘Submission Radio’ podcast, Covington stated, “Charles Oliveira, I am the biggest fight you can get. Former world champion, the king of Brazil, the king of Miami… What’s going to be bigger for your legacy, Charles?”

‘Chaos’ also believes that Charles Oliveira has done his job in the 155-pound division and it’s time for him to move to welterweight, pointing out that he’s even taller than Colby Covington. “All these other guys [in the LW division] they’re trying to match you up with are complete nobodies. The biggest and best fight for Charles Oliveira’s legacy will be Colby Covington,” the former interim champion added. We will have to wait and see how ‘Do Bronxs’ responds to this callout. But Covington was not done, as he went after Oliveira’s Irish teammate at Chute Box.

‘Chaos’ rained down on Ian Garry’s UFC 303 win

Ian Garry defeated Michael ‘Venom’ Page at UFC 303 via unanimous decision, which many claimed to be a close encounter. Dana White was shocked at why the fight wasn’t declared a draw because that’s what he thought about that fight. Meanwhile, Colby Covington, who’s had a history of verbal back-and-forth with ‘The Future’ claimed that he wasn’t impressed with Garry at all. In the same interview on ‘Submission Radio’, Covington said, “That was pathetic. That guy’s [Garry] fighting number 14 guy in the world and barely scraping by.”

Covington also believes that, as per his assessment, ‘MVP’ was the real winner of that fight, while calling the 26-year-old Irish fighter a Conor McGregor wannabe.” He added, “He did all this, pulled all these strings to get on the Conor card, and then Conor left him at the altar.” Will these words trigger Ian Garry and can this help him get a fight against the former interim champion? It will be interesting to see how Dana White navigates this situation.
