The interim heavyweight champion made a statement when he succeeded in keeping his belt against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304. That led him to call out the supposed ‘greatest of all time’. Tom Aspinall claimed that he was confident in his abilities to beat the unbeatable Jon Jones. But is that what the undisputed champion has in mind? Well, that might not be it. Jones recently shared a post on Instagram, a few snaps from his recent training sessions, and that was when a fan chimed in to question him about fighting Aspinall.

“Are u fighting Aspinal or not??” The fan wondered if Jon Jones would respond to him, which he did. Sadly, ‘Bones’ did not give a positive nod to the fan’s query, dismissing Tom Aspinall for Stipe Miocic. “Naw Stipe,” Jones replied, confirming that the fight against the 2-time heavyweight champion would go down when he makes his return. But what lies ahead for Aspinall? We’ll find that out soon, but now, let’s move over to the next story.

Have an interesting take?

As the Olympics in Paris, France is coming to an end this month, the UFC will return to the city of love on September 28 for a Fight Night event. However, the promotion’s go-to fighter for a French event, Ciryl Gane, was nowhere to be found on that card. Instead, the main event sport has been given to lightweight star Benoit Saint-Denis, who’ll take on Renato Moicano. Even the co-main event spot’s been taken by Nassourdine Imavov, who’ll fight Brendan Allen.

However, Ciryl Gane does have a fight coming up, and it’s a rematch against Alexander Volkov. That will take place at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi. Neither Dana White nor ‘Bon Gamin’ spilled the beans as to what led him not to get included in the Paris event, as the former title contender made waves when he appeared during the 2024 Olympics in the French capital recently.

While speculations of his return are running wild, Conor McGregor gave his take as to when he’d be comfortable to return to action less than a month ago. Since we’re in the latter half of the year, a reporter asked ‘The Notorious’ if UFC 310 would be the destination, which will take place on December 14. It sounded appealing to the Irish superstar, who stated, “That sounds good to me.” The welterweight champion Belal Muhammad also hinted that December 14 sounded good to him, too.

“Hopefully, I get something at the end of the year. Maybe that December card. That would be the perfect moment for me. I think that would be perfect turnaround time,” Belal Muhammad recently told ‘TMZ’. But whom is he going to scramble against? Well, ‘Remember the Name’ has two names in mind, Shavkat Rakhmonov and Kamaru Usman. Now, it depends on Dana White regarding which route he takes for Muhammad.
