During a recent episode of the JRE podcast with guest Aaron Rodgers, Joe Rogan confirmed that he will be a part of the UFC 298 pay-per-view. He mentioned that he had been looking forward to the featherweight title clash between Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria. Rogan stated, “Volkanovski Ilia Topuria fight, that’s next week. That’s a big one.”
However, Joe Rogan appeared to be apprehensive about going to California. When asked if he would be commentating on the PPV, he said, “Yes sir, it’s one of the rare times I go back to that communist sh*thole commonly known as California.” Not only that, Rogan also mentioned how one of his friends struggled to find certain products in California.

“That f*king place is so crazy… I had a friend, my friend Moshe was over here the other day and he was like… You can’t get flavored nicotine! Imagine, you can’t get flavored nicotine,” Joe Rogan added. It remains to be seen how his trip to California pans out this time when he attends UFC 298.
Dana White takes aim at Sean Strickland
Dana White recently made an appearance on the ‘Pat McAfee Show‘, where he addressed some of the comments made by Sean Strickland during the UFC 297 press conference. The former middleweight champion appeared to disparage the co-main-event of the PPV, which included a bantamweight title fight between Raquel Pennington and Mayra Bueno Silva. Apparently, the UFC CEO did not like what Strickland had to say.

“Obviously, the two girls that were in the co-main event, he said horrible things about them. There’s no need for that. They’ve never done anything to him. This is what he does,” said Dana White. Even though there might be disagreements between fighters and the promoter, the UFC CEO mentioned that everyone is allowed to say whatever they want.
Chael Sonnen claims Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler is a done deal
MMA legend Chael Sonnen recently posted a video on his YouTube channel, talking about the possibility of a fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. He believes there is a high possibility of that fight taking place only because of the assurance from Dana White. Sonnen said, “Conor vs Chandler will happen because Dana White said it’s going to happen, and that’s it and that’s how his mind works.”

He mentioned that Dana White has always been that way and if something has to happen, it will. However, if a fight is not in the state of happening, the UFC CEO will inform about it himself. “If anything was to happen opposite of that, it would be cut, he sat everybody down [and] he worked it out,” said Chael Sonnen. Even though ‘The American Gangster’ believes McGregor will fight Chandler, we still can’t say anything until we get the official announcement from the UFC.
