UFC 296 witnessed some unusual moments, one of which involved a brawl between the middleweight champion Sean Strickland and the number one contender, Dricus du Plessis. They are scheduled to fight each other at UFC 297, but fans got the opportunity to witness the action before the first pay-per-view of 2024. However, Joe Rogan, who was in commentary, had Strickland to blame for the incident.

The UFC color commentator believes that it wasn’t right on Sean Strickland’s part to initiate the brawl since he is a UFC champion. Joe Rogan said, “It’s just so ridiculous that the middleweight champion of the world would do that.” Joe Rogan event went on to claim that ‘Tarzan’ was not in the right state of mind. “He’s out of his mind. He really is nuts,” the 56-year-old further stated.

Joe Rogan advised Sean Strickland and other fighters not to make such a ruckus at such events. “Don’t do that,” he added. Following the incident, both Dricus du Plessis and the middleweight champion were ushered out of the T-Mobile Arena.

Colby Covington doesn’t regret what he said about Leon Edwards’s father

After his loss to Leon Edwards, Colby Covington attended the post-fight press conference. There, reporters asked him if he thought that he crossed the line by making those remarks about ‘Rocky’s father. Covington appeared to be unapologetic about it. He said, “Not at all [feeling apologetic for the comments].” ‘Chaos’ further went on to claim that he was speaking the truth, which sometimes may not be the thing that people want to hear.

“The truth always stinks the worst in the world. So, no. I don’t feel bad about it at all,” Covington further stated. He mentioned that he was not playing any character. The former interim champion also has no problems with what people think of him. “There is no character. I’m a guy that just turns it up to eleven. I don’t care what people think of me,” the 35-year-old added. Meanwhile, we will have to wait and see what’s next for ‘Chaos’ after the loss at UFC 296.
