Jiri Prochazka experienced a second-round defeat against Alex Pereira at UFC 295. The outcome sparked controversy within the community, as many believe that the referee prematurely halted the match. There is a prevailing opinion that had the stoppage not occurred, Prochazka could have continued to fight. In the beginning, Prochazka made a statement citing that the referee was right to stop the match as he was down, but seems like he has changed his stance now.

The Czech-Republican recently, while having an interview, made a U-turn and claimed that the referee stopped the match way early. “I could turn it around. Referee ended it too early but I didn’t want to roast him immediately”. In layman’s terms, Prochazka believes the decision was premature.

Max Holloway calls out Conor McGregor

Max Holloway recently gave an interview to ESPN. Among the many questions, Holloway was inquired about his opinion on Conor McGregor’s return and whether he would fight him in the future. ‘Blessed’ conveyed that he was willing to fight McGregor, however, he has his doubts regarding Michael Chandler being McGregor’s first opponent.

“I don’t even know if Chandler’s gonna get the next one. Who knows, bro? Conor McGregor fights who he wants to fight, you know, and I’m always on the shortlist for him, you know what I mean?”, said Holloway. He added, “It probably irks him that I was the only man that he didn’t get to put away in the featherweight division. So, we’ll see, you know? I know nothing but respect for the guy.”

Holloway further explained that he is happy that McGregor is making a comeback and stated that his comeback would significantly help the sport,  “I’m glad he’s coming back; it’s going to be great for the sport that he’s coming back.”
