Most UFC fans already know what a nightmare the Brazilian, ‘Poatan’, had been for Adesanya. At the UFC 287, ‘The Last Stylebender’ wrote the probable final chapter of his fable-like rivalry with Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira.
Their UFC 287 main event bout began with Pereira landing a lot of leg kicks, while ‘Izzy’ trusted his hands more. However, Adesanya’s fans would have had their hearts in their mouths for a moment. In the second round of the bout, the two got into an exactly similar situation where ‘Poatan’ had scored his knockout against Adesanya at UFC 281. ‘The Brazilian’ had also started his barrage of strikes to knock ‘Izzy’ out.
But, this time, Adesanya defended himself strongly and came up with a brutal right under-hook which landed at the perfect spot. Pereira was rocked. After that, it was just a matter of time before ‘The Last Stylebender’ sensed the opportunity and sent his archrival to the canvas with one more strong left-right combination. The heavy hammer fist at the end further ensured that ‘Poatan’ wasn’t getting up by any means.
‘The Last Stylebender’ also took up Pereira’s entry style as he planted 3 imaginary arrows into his knocked-out rival. Many have taken this as a testification that he had avenged his three previous defeats.

Gilbert Burns threatens an exit after retiring Jorge Masvidal if his demands aren’t met
The noted ‘BMF’ of the UFC, Jorge Masvidal, couldn’t pull off a victory against his UFC 287 opponent, Gilbert Burns. Post his loss, Masvidal stood by his words ad announced his UFC retirement after 20 years of professional fighting. However, his opponent, Burns, also made some comments concerning his own UFC exit, which were totally unexpected.
But, ‘Durinho’s’ UFC exit could rather be called a threat than a decision. Burns stated that he would only do this if his demands related to his next bout weren’t met. In his post-fight press conference, ‘Durinho’ revealed he was ready to be the backup fighter for the future title fight between the current Welterweight kingpin, Leon Edwards, and Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington. But post that, he wasn’t going to settle for anything less than a title shot.
Burns stated, “I am going to do my training camp for five rounds, go to London, I’ll be the backup and I’m next in line to fight for the title, otherwise let me go.”

Do you think Dana White and Co. will fulfill Burns’ demand? Or will this story also take a Francis Ngannou-like route after a denial of Burns’ demands?
Leon Edwards bashed Jorge Masvidal after UFC 287 loss
Clearly, things at UFC 287 didn’t go as per the ‘BMF’, Jorge Masvidal’s expectations. ‘Gamebred’ had to taste defeat in the potential last matchup of his UFC career. But, even during this parting time, Masvidal had no rest from getting bashed.
The current Welterweight champion took to his Twitter and derided Masvidal after ‘Gambred’ had also mentioned him in one of his pre-fight interviews. ‘Rocky’s’ Masvidal-bashing tweet read, “Fu**ing bum Jorge fumbled the bag once again. None of them really deserve it. Who should I fight next? #kingLeon”.

Well, many fans might take this tweet as an attempt at mockery from the champ. Even most UFC fans know that Edwards will be taking on Colby Covington for his next title defense. Hence, it could be realized that the final part of his tweet didn’t serve any purpose.
