A road rage incident has enveloped former two-time middleweight champion Israel Adesanya after he was caught spitting on the alleged aggressor. Adesanya was driving down Karangahape Road, Auckland when a car slowed down near him. The driver then threw some racial slurs at ‘The Last Stylebender’, and challenged him to a fight. However, the Nigerian-born fighter waived it all off and continued on his path.

But the man then stopped his car ahead of continued the aggression after coming out of his car. Despite trying his best to de-escalate the situation, Adesanya was forced to ask the bystanders to call the police. But with the people standing and pulling out their phones was something that greatly disappointed the mixed martial artist.

Taking to social media, Adesanya discouraged such behavior and said, “It’s ridiculous that I can’t buy a pie after training without some idiot screaming despicable things and asking for a fight while his mates film from the sidelines. Threatening violence is no joke. It’s very dangerous, and incidents like this must not be glorified online. I hope in the future people say something rather than get their phones out to film.”

Have an interesting take?

Last year around this time, Adesanya was caught up in a DUI incident and ended up pleading guilty. This was just weeks before his losing attempt against Sean Strickland at UFC 293. It seems like the ex-UFC champion can’t stop running into problems on the road in the month of August. While Adesanya is facing conflicts in least-expected situations, we have another UFC champ being cordial amid a harsh contest.

Alexa Grasso is excited to fight on the same day as Canelo Alvarez

Alexa Grasso is all set to land against Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 306 and defend her championship belt. The fight is indeed a historic event with Grasso and Shevchenko fighting for the third time and the UFC debuting at the Sphere to celebrate the Mexican Independence Day. Offering stiff competition in PPV sales, Alvarez will go up against Edgar Berlanga on the same date at the T-Mobile Arena.

Weighing in on this, Alexa Grasso declared that she is indeed a huge fan of the boxing legend, and has been following him through his entire career. Both Alvarez and Grasso hail from Guadalajara. Needless to say, Grasso looks up to Alvarez as her role model. So, fighting on the same day as her role model excited her to the greatest extent. She said, “So, for me, it’s huge. Like, fighting on the same day as him? It’s inspiring.”

Mike Perry bites back at Conor McGregor

Not too long ago, ‘Mystic Mac’ announced that he fired ‘Platinum’ from the BKFC, after the bare-knuckle fighting champion lost his bout against Jake Paul, via a knockout. ‘The Notorious’ wasn’t happy about the outcome and took to social media to reveal his decision. But when a fan asked if he had really fired Perry, McGregor responded, “See him since?”

Perry was pretty furious with the Irishman’s words. In his rage, he said, “Why don’t you go fight Jake Paul and box him with the gloves on?” He believed that McGregor’s fight with ‘The Problem Child’ would be even worse than the time he fought Floyd Mayweather.
