The champ had to fight Moicano on short notice as his opponent Arman Tsarukyan pulled out of the match moments before the clash. Well, the Dagestani didn’t take long to finish the Brazilian as he submitted him in the very first round to retain his title for the fourth time.

After winning the fight, Islam Makhachev took to his Instagram handle to upload his winning moment and captioned it as “Now you know @danawhite.” The lightweight champion took a sly dig at the UFC CEO has been adamant about not acknowledging Makhachev as the true P4P number one fighter. According to the White, as long as Jon Jones fights, no one is a true P4P #1 fighter except him.

However, Dana White has finally come forward to chew his own words. At the post-fight press conference, White finally admitted, “He’s already the pound-for-pound No. 1 ranking. Yeah, I’ll give it to him.” Well, Islam Makhachev did prove that he is ready to clash with anyone and anywhere. Now, Jones will have to prove himself by taking his fight against Tom Aspinall. Paddy Pimblett faces criticism after submitting Denis Frimpong

UFC lightweight fighter, Paddy Pimblett and Denis Frimpong had a unique way to settle their beef. The duo traded hands in a classic fight in order to see who was better. According to reports, after exchanging a couple of kicks and punches, Pimblett took Frimpong to the ground. After Pimblett quickly got out of the armbar and triangle attempts by Frimpong, he took Frimpong’s back in a rear-naked choke.

Moments after that Frimpong can be seen tapping, however, Pimblett refused to let go which forced others to intervene. This act by the British fighter got a lot of criticism from the MMA community and he had to come forward to explain why he didn’t let go. “He agreed to no tapping beforehand all you b–hurt idiots who don’t know what you talking about just pipe down don’t talk when you don’t know the context,” said Pimblett on his socials.

Merab Dvalishvili promised he would defeat Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 311, and he delivered on that promise. ‘The Machine’ was in full throttle as he tore through ‘The Young Eagle’ with relentless cardio and pace. Umar Nurmagomedov did break his fist in the initial rounds but Dvalishvili’s immense pressure gained him his victory. According to former UFC fighter Matt Brown, it was nothing but, “Cardio, pace, cardio. Never bet against it.”

In the backstage area, Merab Dvalishvili approached Aljamain Sterling and thanked him for all the valuable lessons he had taught him. “You teach me so much, and you make me who I am today. Thank you for all the help, of course, and to everybody, but you are the man,” said Merab Dvalishvili.
