Most UFC fans would agree that UFC Jacksonville provided them with probably everything they had asked for. The enthralling main event between the famed UFC Featherweights, Ilia Topuria, and Josh Emmett also proved to be a showstopper. Both men showcased some superb striking skills as the fight went to its full length. However, Topuria’s prowess was enough for the judges to award the bout to him via unanimous decision.
The fight primarily stayed on the feet, as both Topuria and Emmett went for strikes instead of taking the fight to the ground. Topuria landed a series of left jabs throughout the fight, causing some significant damage. Although Emmett also had his moments in the bout, they didn’t prove enough for him to fetch a victory.
In his post-fight interview, Topuria clarified that he deserved to get the next featherweight title shot. He also revealed to Daniel Cormier that he will be keeping a close eye on the coveted UFC 290 main event between Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez for the featherweight title.
Nate Diaz’s teammate offers his help to Elon Musk
Looking at the current situation, it won’t be wrong to say that most UFC athletes have chosen the side of the Twitter CEO for his possible “cage fight” against the Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. Recently Nate Diaz’s teammate, Jake Shields, also continued this trend as he expressed his support for the ’51-year-old’.
Shields took to Musk’s platform, Twitter, to publicize his backing for him. His tweet read, “Hey @elonmusk if you are really gonna fight Zuck you need to get training ASAP I’m willing to help you train and also show you how to build a team of top coaches and how to structure training”.
Shields also took a dig at Musk’s opponent ‘Zuck’ stating, “We need this win because you are the people’s champ and represent free speech while Zuck represents censorship and globalization.”

Conor McGregor took another recent dig at his friend-turned-enemy Artem Lobov
The often nonchalant UFC icon Conor McGregor recently showcased one more act of his outspoken nature. Although McGregor and the noted former UFC fighter, Artem Lobov started off as friends, future events turned them into enemies. Lobov even filed lawsuits against the Irishman. Even though it has been months since then, ‘Mystic Mac’ probably still carries his resentment and hatred for Lobov.
