Movsar Evloev’s title fight gets the backing of Dan Ige

“I can promise them that I’m not gonna take down anyone if they give me a title shot. I’m not gonna go there first. If they try to take me down, I’ll accept this. But I’m not gonna go first, I’ll just go straight striking,” said Movsar Evloev as the undefeated Dagestani in an attempt to detract the folks accusing him of being a “boring fighter”, owing to his wrestling heavy style.

Evloev holds an impressive record of 19 victories in his MMA career, but what’s holding him back is the fact that he has never finished an opponent in the UFC. This simple stat seems to be stopping the UFC top brass from giving him a title shot. However, not everyone has written him off as a fellow featherweight fighter Dan Ige has come forward to emphasize that he is not a boring fighter.

“Movsar might not have finished anyone, but I think his fights are exciting. The Allen and Aljo fights were amazing. He deserves the title shot,” said Ige. As per the featherweight star, Evloev has proved that he is ready to take on ‘The Great’, who is standing at the top of the 145 lbs division. From featherweight, let’s move up a division and take a look at everyone’s favorite scrappy lightweight Dustin Poirier.
