Eddie Hearn reveals his liking for Conor McGregor
A lot even outside the world of MMA know about the polarizing character of the UFC icon, Conor McGregor. While the number of McGregor haters is also quite healthy, a lot would agree that his personality simply cannot be ignored. However, the noted boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, is far from being a hater of ‘Mystic Mac’.
The 43-year-old recently appeared on the known podcast, ‘The MMA Hour’, where he was questioned about his experience of meeting ‘The Notorious’. Hearn stated, “Just the funniest time. I love great energy and this guy [Conor McGregor] is just a pure character. It was like being in a press conference.”
He continued, “We’ve met once before at Katie Taylor literally for five-ten seconds… and he comes in and just the energy and the enthusiasm.”
Hearn also revealed that McGregor had considered fighting his former UFC rival, Nate Diaz. He said, “And then he’s telling me about the Nate Diaz fight… he’s like, ‘We should do this.” A large chunk of fans might have been enthralled by this revelation from Hearn. What do you feel? Dustin Poirier elected to play a new role after the UFC 287
A lot of fans have witnessed the flush striking of the noted former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion, Dustin Poirier. But recently, the UFC elected him for a new role. ‘The Diamond’ was recently elected as the post-event desk analyst for UFC 287. Poirier had his last octagon outing at UFC 281 on 13 November 2022 when he finished off the current TUF coach, Michael Chandler.
The noted MMA coverage house, ‘MMA Junkie’ reported that the post-event show will be hosted by the regular, Michael Eaves. He will be joined by the noted MMA coach, Din Thomas, and ‘The Diamond’ who would be making his debut as an analyst.

Endeavor CEO clarifies the roles of each head honcho after the WWE-UFC merger
The news about the upcoming WWE-UFC merger after ‘Endeavor’s’ acquisition of 51% of WWE’s shares made massive headlines recently. But, it also created a lot of questions about how the roles and responsibilities would be divided in the about-to-be-formed company.
The Endeavor CEO, Ari Emanuel clarified things about this previously dark area of this merger. In an interview with ‘CNBC’ on 3 April 2023, Emanuel revealed that he himself will serve as the CEO of the united UFC-WWE organization with Vince McMahon operating as the executive chairman.

He also revealed that Dana White and McMahon will both retain their positions as the presidents of the UFC and WWE, respectively. Emanuel further talked about his plans to settle disagreements with ‘Mr. McMahon’. He quoted himself describing, “Here’s what we said, and I said [to Vince] — if we disagree on something that we want to do, guess what? We’re not doing it.”
