UFC 313 might feature Dustin Poirier vs. Justin Gaethje 3
The co-main event for UFC 313 is in trouble as Dan Hooker, who was set to fight Justin Gaethje, had to pull out of the bout 2 weeks before the event. It was all because ‘The Hangman’ inflicted an injury to his hand, rendering him unable to fight the former BMF champion. But the pullout gave rise to the talks of a rematch. A trilogy fight between Dustin Poirier and ‘The Highlight’.
Needless to say, it would fulfill ‘The Diamond’s desire to go out fighting a legendary fighter. His last bout against Islam Makhachev at UFC 302 ended in an unfortunate defeat. And that event also marked that the Cajun fighter can never really become an undisputed lightweight champion.
But he can surely go out of the Octagon in style. And that’s where UFC 313 can help him, don’t you agree? A trilogy fight between Poirier and Gaethje to decide who’s stronger, while bidding farewell to the former interim lightweight champion.
🚨BREAKING NEWS: Dan Hooker is OUT with a hand injury. The UFC is in talks with Dustin Poirier to make this his retirement fight. This rematch would serve as Dustin's last wish to go out fighting a legend. #UFC313 pic.twitter.com/sOVmBUnPov

Now, let’s shift our focus to the world of celebrity magazines. Well, the UFC head honcho did secure a place on the front cover of Forbes magazine. And that’s reason enough for an epic celebration.

Dana White lands on the Forbes cover page
UFC Espanol shared the big news on Instagram with a picture of the Forbes The Money Issue. The caption of the post read, “We celebrate @danawhite on the cover of @forbes!” On the front page of the Forbes magazine, Dana White can be seen staring back with the words “Lod of the Octagon” introducing him. And his featured quote? It’s “FIGHITNG IS IN OUR DNA AS HUMAN BEINGS.”
On top of that, the Ultimate Fighting Championship would give away one trip to Las Vegas to attend the UFC Apex fights. But the excitement doesn’t end there. The fight promotion also promised to give away 10 copies of the UFC CEO’s signed Forbes covers. No doubt, it was a big win for White and the UFC. And if you want to get the chance to get to Vegas, you need to keep it moving.

It’s time for the final story of today’s episode. And it’s all about Topuria’s move to the lightweight division. The Spaniard has already dropped his featherweight championship title. But who would he fight in the LW realm? Chael Sonnen has an answer to that.
When will Ilia Topuria fight Charles Oliveira?
Ilia Topuria’s really shocked the entire fanbase. But would he actually get a fight against Charles Oliveira? According to Sonnen, that happens only in two conditions. And that would happen only when ‘El Matador’ would rise victorious against Makhachev or if he defeats Max Holloway once again and claims the BMF title. He said, “First, he fights Max Holloway for the BMF belt, and if he wins, then Charles will grant him the fight. Or Ilia fights and defeats Islam. If he fights and defeats Islam and he’s the world champion, then Charles will fight him.”

The Spaniard has already shown how strong his stance in the featherweight realm was. Staying undefeated and rising over fighters like Alexander Volkanovski and Holloway proved that he was worthy of making the move to the lightweight division. But he is yet to prove if he’s worthy of taking a shot at the lightweight championship title.
