DWCS 69 saw four fighters earning UFC contracts, with one fight having both fighters win bonuses. Yes, the fight between Bogdan Grad and Michael Aswell ended with a split-decision win for the former, but the fight impressed Dana White. As such, the UFC CEO handed out both fighters their show and win money, along with a meager $5,000 bonus, which is 10 times less than the normal bonus amount.

Another unusual occurrence took place as Nick Piccininni, who discarded the UFC contract after his win over Jack Duffy, will have a rematch against the latter in the 10th week of the 8th DWCS season. This was certainly a first, as we wait to see if Piccininni made a huge mistake by offering a rematch. Now, let’s move over to the next big story of the day, involving the ever-vocal Sean Strickland.

Sean Strickland fires back at MGK

Have an interesting take?

A few months ago, Sean Strickland bumped into Machine Gun Kelly at a Power Slap event, where the unfiltered ex-UFC champ jibed at the way the rapper had dressed, among other things. The ‘Bad Things’ singer recently opened up about the whole fiasco while also telling Sean Strickland to “shut the f*** up.” If you thought Strickland was going to let MGK off the hook, well, you’d be wrong because the 33-year-old fired back with yet another incendiary rant.

“Getting lectured by a guy who drinks blood and wears a purse.. Dawg you had a mid life crisis and tattooed your entire body. The ‘the x community of intolerance’ yall I’d hang out with you toxic trolls any day over this c**t… Go back to cutting yourself you f***ing weirdo,” posted Sean Strickland on X. It would be interesting to see if he invites Machine Gun Kelly for a sparring session like he has done with influencers and Navy SEALs. Meanwhile, let’s jump into the final noteworthy headline from the MMA world.

Dustin Poirier claps back at Michael Chandler’s claim

Dan Hooker had an impressive outing at UFC 305 against Mateusz Gamrot, who he edged past via decision after a back-and-forth contest. He’s now been placed in the 5th sport in the LW rankings, but Michael Chandler doesn’t seem to be convinced about Hooker’s admission into the top 5. Claiming that he’d gotten the better of ‘The Hangman’ in the past, ‘Iron’ downplayed the Kiwi star’s win.

Just then, Dustin Poirier would hit back at Chandler, reminding him that he’s made more ranked contenders bite the dust than the former Bellator champion. “Shut up, i got wins over the #3, #5, #6, #9 and #12 LWs,” Dustin Poirier responded to Michael Chandler. This isn’t the first time they’ve had a heated exchange because their beef goes way back.
