With the signings of Francis Ngannou and the social media sensation Jake Paul, the PFL has risen to new heights. People are talking about certain aspects of the UFC’s rival promotion, giving fighters the freedom to venture into other endeavors as well. This has led Donn Davis to believe that MMA fighters may prefer to join the PFL instead of Dana White’s promotion. However, the UFC president feels that this is not the case.

Considering the impact UFC has had on MMA over the last 30 years, Dana White claims that Donn Davis is being delusional. He said, “Well, there’s one of two things in that. There’s either a lot of delusion or he’s uninformed.”

UFC president provides an update on Dricus du Plessis’ title shot aspirations

The UFC presented the opportunity to contend for the title against Israel Adesanya to the South African star, Dricus De Plessis. However, ‘Stillknocks’ opted to demonstrate his capabilities by fighting the former champion, Robert Whittaker, prior to pursuing the championship title. Furthermore, he had to opt out of the fight at UFC 293 after suffering a foot injury. This has seemingly diminished his chances of earning a title shot in the future. Dana White has opened up about what lies ahead for Dricus du Plessis.

The UFC president has never been a fan of a fighter who declines the opportunity to fight for the title. Similarly, he mentioned it during the recent Contender Series press conference when asked about the South African star’s title prospects. White said, “You know how much I love when guys turn down fights.” Moreover, he mentioned that there are no discussions being held about it. They will only take action after this weekend’s pay-per-view. “I don’t know. We’ll see what happens on Saturday and then we’ll go from there.”
