Lightweight fighter Chris Duncan delivered an outstanding performance, earning him the coveted Performance of the Night (POTN) bonus at UFC Paris. Duncan faced Bolaji Oki, who came into the fight with a two-fight winning streak, while Duncan was trying to bounce back from a recent loss. From the outset, Oki aimed to take Duncan down, but this move quickly turned into a mistake.

‘The Problem’ clinched to Oki’s neck for a few minutes and threw some punches at him, only to witness that he was passed out cold from the choke. Interestingly, Duncan had to call the referee in between the match to check his opponent. His spectacular performance earned him a $50,000 bonus, which, according to the fighter, has been life-changing. The fighter took to his X handle to thank the UFC President Dana White for changing his life: “Thank you @danawhite you have changed my family’s life, and thank you to the @ufc.”

Duncan’s victory and bonus have certainly marked a significant moment in his career, but it’s only the beginning. Now, let’s shift focus to another UFC Paris star, Renato Moicano, who fought Benoit Saint-Denis in the main event despite a serious injury.

Renato Moicano Reveals Shoulder Injury After Victory

Renato Moicano roared that he would spoil the French party and that’s what he did when he fought Benoit-Saint Denis in front of the Parisian crowd. The Brazilian fighter impressed everyone when he impeccably dominated the former French special forces officer in the very first round. ‘God Of War’ was the favorite to win this match but ‘Money Moicano’ had some other thoughts for the French fighter. Moicano injured Saint-Denis so harshly in the first round that during the second round, the referee had to intervene for the doctor to come in and check ‘BSD’.

After close inspection, the doctor called the match off as ‘God Of War’ wasn’t able to see from his eyes. Moicano was handed over the victory by TKO by doctor stoppage. However, what most of the fans don’t know is the fact that the Brazilian was seriously hurt as well. MMA reporter Kevin Iole shared the X-ray of Moicano, which showcased a bad shoulder breakage for the Brazilian.

Interestingly, Renato Moicano explained the story behind it as he took to his X handle to shed light on his injury, “I hurt my shoulder 3 weeks ago… but I couldn’t pull out of a main event… thank you my team for helping me training like that e get me ready for the fight.” Despite his amazing performance, Moicano was not on the list of fighters who got the POTN bonus.

Well, the fighter might have to try his best in his next match. Now that we know about the UFC Paris highlights, let us have a look at the bantamweight champion, who has a message for Umar Nurmagomedov.

Merab D͏valis͏hv͏il͏i has a message for Umar Nurmagomedov

After clinching the belt from Sean O’Malley at UFC 306, Merab D͏valis͏hv͏il͏i made sure that the world knows that he is here to stay. However, the Georgian might not be able to catch a break after his championship victory, as Umar Nurmagomedov is behind his back to clinch the bantamweight title. Following his victory, the MMA community is at his back for a clash against ‘Young Eagle.’ Some people even believe that ‘Machine’ is afraid of Nurmagomedov.

However, is it really the case? According to the champion himself, he would toy around with ‘Young Eagle’ just like he did with Sean O’Malley, Henry Cejudo, and Petr Yan. The bantamweight champ took to his X handle to send a message to Team Nurmagomedov, “I smacked Petr Yan’s a** like a b****, I carried Henry Cejudo like a baby, I kissed Sean O’Malley like his daddy BUT I will simply SMASH Umar if the UFC puts him in front of me next.”
