The UFC created history at UFC 293. They introduced the role of the first-ever female color commentator in the commentary team, which Laura Sanko took up. Dana White was seemingly impressed with her work and shared a few words. He said, “What she’s done in such a short amount of time is amazing. She’s so talented.”

Furthermore, he even called Sanko a pioneer of female commentators and compared her to Ronda Rousey, also considered a pioneer of women’s MMA. “She is a true professional. She knows [that] she’s the Ronda Rousey of commentating.”

Laura Sanko reacted to the kind words from Dana White on social media. She said, “Thank you sir. And thank you for believing I could put the work in and eventually get there.” The UFC president has assured that Sanko will comment on future UFC pay-per-view events.

Conor McGregor called out Justin Gaethje once again

Reigning BMF champion Justin Gaethje recently mentioned his wish to fight former UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal to unify the BMF titles. ‘Gamebred’ never defended his title, and as such, ‘The Highlight’ suggested that a fight between them is something he’s looking forward to. Not only that, but he mentioned how he fights at 155lbs and might consider fighting Masvidal at 170lbs. However, Conor McGregor was quick to respond to that statement.

‘The Notorious’ took to Twitter (X) and called out Justin Gaethje. He claims that calling out Jorge Masvidal was one of the most “un-bmf” things ‘The Highlight’ has done so far. He even suggested Gaethje get into the sauna after the latter claimed that he mostly fights at 155lbs. “The most un-bmf shout ever. He fights at 155. lol. B*tch. Get into that sauna, b*tch,” said Conor McGregor. It remains to be seen how the BMF champion responds to this call-out.

Sean Strickland recently shocked the world after defeating Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 to become the middleweight champion. ‘Tarzan’s win seemingly spoiled the plans for the ‘real African’ fight between Dricus du Plessis and the former champion. However, it did not matter much to the number-one middleweight contender.

In a recent interview with ‘MiddleEasy’, Du Plessis mentioned that he’s willing to fight for the title in December. Moreover, he likes the idea of fighting Strickland since both are considered underdogs. He said, “I’d love to fight for the belt in December… We were the underdogs in the division… for me right now, Strickland is the target. That’s how it is for me.”

In addition to that, he also mentioned that the fight with Israel Adesanya can still happen. Dricus du Plessis believes that ‘Izzy’ deserves what is coming to him. “The big fight with me and Adesanya is still on the table… We can capitalize on that because he does deserve a hiding,” said the South African star. We will have to wait and see how Dana White feels about that proposition.
