The UFC boss, Dana White, had previously stated that he won’t be promoting “gimmick fights” inside the UFC. Hence, the fans had the idea that White probably won’t allow any non-professional fighter to compete inside the octagon. But a large chunk of them was startled when White came into full promoter mode and tried to negotiate the coveted Musk vs ‘Zuck’ fight inside the UFC octagon.

Although most fans saw this as a breach of his own words, White had his own reasons why the Musk vs ‘Zuck’ wasn’t a “gimmick fight”. In a recent tweet, the UFC boss clarified why it was absolutely justified to go for this fight.

His tweet read, “This isn’t a gimmick fight. Gimmick is MMA guys going to boxing and getting beat. We have seen it already and how it ends. This is a fight between 2 of the most powerful /richest guys in the world. Who will win? Who has seen this before? NOBODY. It’s also a crossover fight that literally EVERY EVERYONE will watch.”

Conor McGregor revealed future plans after failing the USADA deadline

Most UFC fans have already believed that the touted Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler bout isn’t happening anymore this year. The bout was scrapped after McGregor failed to enlist himself inside the USADA testing pool within the deadline given by the authority. But, that doesn’t mean that we’ll never see ‘The Notorious’ inside the octagon again.

In a recent public appearance, ‘Mystic Mac’ revealed his future plans to one of the reporters. The YouTube video on TMZ Sports showcased McGregor replying, “Fighting! Looking to get a fight going”.

While these words from McGregor might be a sigh of relief for a number of fans, some also might view these as mere words. Despite his talks about getting back in the octagon, McGregor’s failure to enlist himself inside USADA’s testing pool might compel a number of fans to doubt his seriousness about his words. What is your take on this? When do you expect to see McGregor back in the Octagon?

Ilia Topuria claimed to be better than all current UFC Featherweights

The UFC Jacksonville main event victor, Ilia Topuria, had already clarified in his post-fight interview, that he wanted the next UFC Featherweight title shot. He also had no issues going against whoever held the championship after the coveted Alexander Volkanovski vs. Yair Rodriguez bout at the UFC 290 main event. At the post-fight press conference following his bout, Topuria further took a shot at the current UFC Featherweight champ, Alexander Volkanovski.

So just was tough tonight, but I beat him pretty, pretty easy and it didn’t it don’t going to be like different with Alex you know. The wrestle is going to be the same. I’m gonna knock him out in the first round second round. If not, I’m gonna dominate him for five rounds. No problem”, said the 26-year-old from Spain.
