Besides the violence that occurred in the octagon, there was action amidst the crowd as well during UFC Mexico. The media had already grilled Dana White for the brawl in the crowd between Sean Strickland and Dricus du Plessis. As such, he did not like what happened in Mexico during the Fight Night event.

Upon media interactions, Dana White reiterated that these incidents did not typically happen in a UFC event. Moreover, when he saw the brawl break out, he was disappointed to have not seen anyone from his security team secure the peace in that situation.

White said, “I mean, I was waiting for the security to come; they just let him go till it was over. That’s one of the craziest things I have ever seen.”

Despite the brawl in the crowd, the UFC head honcho doesn’t think it has put a dent in the promotion’s image. He claims bygones are bygones. “I don’t think it’s a bad look for the UFC; it happened, and you know, that was the end of that,” said the UFC CEO. It remains to be seen if such incidents take place again in the future.

PPV announced on Conor McGregor’s promised return

According to recent reports, Dana White has set his plans for International Fight Week. UFC 303 will headline the week, which will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. What’s surprising is that the date for the PPV event is 29th June, which is the same date Conor McGregor announced his return will take place.

Unfortunately, there is no update regarding Conor McGregor’s status in that event. Dana White has yet to give us a date, but another significant event will take place during International Fight Week. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony and the UFC fan experience events will also take place in June. We will have to wait and see if the UFC CEO has a surprise regarding McGregor or not.

Francis Ngannou attended the event to face off the winner of the PFL Champion vs Bellator Champion match between Renan Ferreira and Ryan Bader in Saudi Arabia. Unexpectedly, Ngannou caught up with Jones, who came to witness the fight in a traditional Saudi attire, known as the thawb.
