The highly anticipated UFC 303 is just a week away, and the star of the promotion, Conor McGregor, will be making his comeback against Michael Chandler at the event. Their clash has been made in the promotion for almost a year and after many hurdles, it’s finally materializing but will it ever happen? There have been signs that the probability of the fight happening is on a broken bridge as insiders have been hinting about it.

The cancellation of the June 3rd press conference ignited a spark, and what started as a promotion has now emerged as a forest fire. None of the stakeholders commented about the fight but recently there’s been a buzz that it will happen no matter what, however, renowned MMA journalist thinks otherwise. Helwani took to X to add his observation to the scenario, “Mutiple sources are now saying feelers are being sent out again for June 29. For a replacement and/or new fight(s). In short, there seems to pessimism all over again regarding the status of the 303 main event. Actually even more pessimism – it seems – than on Monday last week after the presser was canceled at the last minute.”

Helwani believes that Dana White is hiding sometimes and they are waiting for the perfect moment to unload it. Nonetheless, as of now, there has been no confirmation by the promotion whether the fight will be canceled or not. Well, let us now move forward to Dominick Reyes, who seems to have dropped every beef with Jon Jones.

The back-and-forth between Jon Jones and Dominic Reyes

Dominick Reyes clinched a beautiful victory back in UFC ESPN 57 against Dustin Jacob. Reyes marked the first victory after 5 years of continuous losses. ‘the Devastator’ became a sensation once again as he clinched the victory. Well, while having a conversation with Ariel Helwani, Reyes was asked about his opinion on his close clash against Jon Jones back in 2020 at UFC 247. The California native stated that he should have been the winner of the clash, “Forever he’ll also be known as who lost to me, maybe we can figure that one out one day. It is, not a belief. that’s a fact,” said Reyes.

‘Devastator’s response was taken into cognizance by the undisputed heavyweight champion who took to X to add his own statement, “Dominick when you look back at our fight, I don’t want you to ever question me or those judges. Look at your own heart, your own endurance. You didn’t do enough. The sooner you accept that the better athlete you become,” Wrote Jones on X.

These interactions were later shared on Instagram and Reyes added that he would take Jones’s advice.“Appreciate the advice, Jon. God bless. Good luck on your journey, and may you finish with a full heart” Reyes commented. “Devastator’ beautifully put an end to their beef as he wished Jones luck for his upcoming endeavor. Well, their rivalry has ended but seems like a new kind of rivalry is emerging from the depths of BKFC.
