Dana White gives hope about Conor McGregor’s return in 2023

Most UFC fans have already lost hope to see the noted Conor McGregor inside the octagon this year. McGregor had failed the USADA deadline to get himself enlisted in the testing pool to get a clearance for competing inside the octagon this year. But recently, the UFC boss came to the relief of fans. In a recent interview with ‘TSN’, White revealed that there are still chances of McGregor taking the octagon within this year only.

Answering a question, White revealed, “100 percent [there’s a chance Conor McGregor fights this year].” This might have got a number of fans on their feet. They also need to know that McGregor can be given a one-time exemption from the USADA rules. Previously, the famed UFC and WWE star, Brock Lesnar had also been allowed an exemption when he fought Mark Hunt at UFC 200.

It’s understandable that McGregor’s comeback is now possible. But, the boss White, didn’t want to give any concrete word about the same. Do you expect to see McGregor inside the octagon this year now?

Among a lot of others, one of the desires of every UFC fighter is to get inducted into the Hall Of Fame. This year also saw a few famed UFC stars, receiving this felicitation from the authorities. The famed former UFC Featherweight king, Jose Aldo, and the noted, Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone got inducted into the UFC HOF under the ‘Modern’ wing.

Also, the famed Anderson Silva and the first-ever UFC Lightweight champ, Jens Pulver got inducted into the Hall Of Fame under the ‘Pioneers’ category. Further, the UFC 189 fight between Robbie Lawler and Rory Macdonald also got inducted into the HOF this year under the ‘Fights’ category.

Georges St-Pierre reveals his comeback at a UFC Fight pass event in December

The UFC had planned another surprise for its fans prior to the beginning of the UFC 290 press conference. The famed UFC legend, Georges St-Pierre took the stage prior to the UFC 290 fighters and revealed that he would be making a comeback this year only. But, ‘Rush’ won’t be making another run in MMA. Instead, he revealed that he would grapple at a UFC Fight Pass Invitational event in December.
