Dana White laid bare his thoughts on Patricio Pitbull
With a career record of 36 victories and only 7 defeats, it is fair to say that Patricio Pitbull is one of the best in the world of MMA. Frustrated with Bellator following its merger with PFL and seeing no way out, the Brazilian fighter made the move to the UFC. Booked against Yair Rodriguez, the former Bellator fighter will be making his UFC debut at UFC 314 and according to Dana White, Pitbull might have a good future under the promotion.

When asked about the signing of Patricio Pitbull, the UFC CEO emphasized that it only took a phone call for him to decide to sign him. When reporters questioned Dana White about whether Pitbull would get a title shot soon, given his age, White added, “He’s going to get the opportunity now to come in here and challenge himself against the best in the world. No matter where he’s at in his career, beating Yair is a big deal. So, he comes in and he beats Yair—you know, I don’t know, we’ll see.”
He further added, “Again, like I said before, we’ll see how this whole thing plays out. But it’s a massive opportunity for him, and we’re excited to give him that.” Beating Rodriguez would for sure bring him closer to fights against the top of the division but will he be able to fight for the title? That’s a question for the future. So, for now, let us move on to another bright UFC prospect with an upcoming high-stakes fight – Paddy Pimblett.
Paddy Pimblett quashes beef with Dustin Poirier but with a twist
To keep it brief, Dustin Poirier wants his retirement fight to be against a legend. However, Paddy Pimblett has set his sights on fighting ‘The Diamond.’ In response, Poirier has declined the matchup, which has sparked a heated exchange between the two. Now, Pimblett is calling on Poirier to “man up” and accept the fight. After all of the hubbub, ‘Baddy’ has come forward to ascertain that he understands why Poirier is not keen on fighting him.
🤝Paddy Pimblett squashes his beef with Dustin Poirier:
“I don’t feel disrespected. I understand what he’s saying… ‘legends only.’ I’m not a legend.
Why retire after one fight? Stop being a b*tch arse. Fight a contract out.”

“I understand what he is saying—legends only. I’m not a legend, and he could earn more money on the pay-per-view fighting someone else. But why would you retire after one fight, lad? Stop being a b—–, know what I mean? Fight your contracts out, have a few fights—you just had a good fight with Islam,” said Paddy Pimblett.
Despite Paddy Pimblett’s efforts, the UFC might never book his fight against Dustin Poirier because the former interim lightweight champion is done with climbing the ladder. While this situation develops, let us move on to Poirier’s rival Conor McGregor.
