Just a few months ago, Dana White assured fans and fighters that the promotion would soon move out of the Apex with plans to hit the road for these events. As such, the UFC CEO has come up with a couple of announcements regarding two Fight Night events, one in Canada and one in the Chinese autonomous region of Macao. On the UFC’s return to Southeast Asia, the Macau Fight Night will take place on the 23rd of November. But the uncertain thing at the moment is the fight card, regarding which we don’t have any idea yet.

Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland stunned the MMA world with some serious allegations of misconduct against former UFC fighter-turned-MMA manager, Tiki Ghosn. He even acted surprised that nobody had responded to his remarks even hours after he shared his account. However, former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, who’s managed by Ghosn, appears to be in the dark about this situation.

“I’m receiving a lot of messages on social media regarding my management. I can 100% confirm that I learned of the accusations this week [and] I don’t have all the information but this is not a reflection of me, in any form,” Aljamain Sterling tweeted. We’ll have to wait to see how many more fighters under Tiki Ghosn’s management react to the allegations against their manager in the coming days. But for now, let’s look at our final noteworthy story.

What do Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis think about the 12-6 elbow strike ban removal?

Ahead of their big-time clash this weekend, the UFC 305 headliners sat down to interact with the media, where they broke their silence on the abolition of the ban on the 12-6 elbow rule. This was the same rule that made Jon Jones lose the zero on his record. For Israel Adesanya, it was about time that they removed that ban, but there’s still a need for a change in the way fights are judged in the UFC.

“It’s about time. That, but then we also go the judging, as well. [That] has to change. But for me, for us as fighters, I don’t do win bonuses. I’m alright, but some of the other guys who have win bonuses and they get their win bonuses taken away… because a judge decided,” Israel Adesanya told the media. Meanwhile, for Dricus Du Plessis, it doesn’t make any difference, but to do it on a grounded opponent could make for some over-the-top finishes.

“Throwing an elbow like this [horizontally] and throwing an elbow like this [vertically] is exactly the same to me so I don’t really care about that. But the grounded opponent one is pretty cool… I think we’re gonna see some sick knockouts of that one,” said Dricus Du Plessis.
