With UFC 294 on the horizon, UFC CEO Dana White recently made a blockbuster announcement regarding three championship bouts. We already know that Jon Jones will fight Stipe Miocic in his first heavyweight title defense at UFC 295 in the main event. Now, the November pay-per-view will also have the light heavyweight title up for grabs in the co-main event. Former Champion Jiri Prochazka will take on Alex Pereira for the vacant title on his return to the Octagon.

Furthermore, UFC 296, which will take place on December 16th, will also feature two title fights. UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja will defend his title against Brandon Royval, who’s a three-fight winning streak. Moreover, it will be at the co-main event.

Conor McGregor promised a trilogy fight to Nate Diaz

‘The Notorious’ recently got into a Twitter (X) scuffle with former rival Nate Diaz. He took a dig at his former rival, claiming that he’d dropped the Stockton native thrice in the first two rounds of their second fight, which prompted a response from Diaz. The former UFC fighter regretted giving Conor McGregor a rematch after he won the initial fight.

Moreover, Diaz mentioned that he never gets a rematch, unlike the Irishman, and that McGregor won their second fight only because he allowed it to happen. However, the former double champion was not one to back out from responding to Nate Diaz’s insult. He straight away promised a trilogy fight in the not-so-distant future. It remains to be seen what Dana White would think of such a proposition.
