Dan Hooker disappoints fans as UFC 313 co-main is at a dead end

“I know full well, 100 percent, that no matter whether his arm gets raised, my arm gets raised, I’m going straight on a stretcher,”  Dan Hooker told ESPN with a smile on his face. Everything he said was on-point. Except, he didn’t get his arms raised in the Octagon, nor did he get taken out on a stretcher. Instead, he’s in the hospital, just about two weeks away from UFC 313. Why? Because he broke his arm.

In a recent vlog shared by Hooker’s daughter, Zoe, ‘The Hangman’ broke the news as he broke the hearts of thousands of fans, “We took a little break—we’ve been busy. Dad was gearing up for a fight, but I’ve gone and busted my paw.” And with that, the fight between Justin Gaethje and Dan Hooker is off the books for now.

The UFC has yet to announce a replacement for Justin Gaethje. With two weeks in the pipeline, we can hope for a worthy opponent to step up for the challenge as the division is full of incredible fights for ‘The Highlight’. If not, then hopefully Dana White books that fight for UFC 314. Speaking of Dana White, it seems fans are annoyed with him regarding this year’s UFC London event. Let’s take a closer look.

UFC London ticket prices force fans to call out Dana White

As Leon Edwards returns to the Octagon following his loss to Belal Muhammad, UFC London is stirring up some heat among fans. The event at the O2 Arena has become so expensive for the British public that they’ve made a rather humorous comparison between UFC London tickets and those for a Taylor Swift concert and Manchester City season pass.

According to sources, a UFC London ticket now costs more than two Taylor Swift tickets (£206), a Man City season ticket (£425), or entry to all seven London PL teams (£279). By 2030, prices could hit £586 on average, making it one of the UK’s priciest live events. The prices are quite absurd considering the fact that the event will be headlined by Leon Edwards vs. Sean Brady.

The co-main will be former light-heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz taking on against Carlos Ulberg. The event is set to take place on March 22. But will the UFC change its prices? Only Dana White knows that. Now, let’s move on to Dustin Poirier and his final dance inside the Octagon.

Dustin Poirier reveals retirement fight at New Orleans

After losing his battle against Islam Makhachev at UFC 302, Dustin Poirier has been calling for a retirement fight, but his demands have yet to be met. ‘The Diamond’ has been teasing his final bout for a while, but it appears the former interim lightweight champion has finally given a date for his last dance in the UFC.

While having a conversation with MMAFighting, Dustin Poirier highlighted that he is looking to fight in New Orleans, “I’ll drop it. It’s [going to happen in] the summer, in July or August, probably. We’re working on UFC New Orleans. I’m trying to retire in my home state, the UFC hasn’t been there since, maybe, 2015? Yeah, I fought on the card as well, I fought Yancy Medeiros. But, that was the last time I got to fight at home.”

He further added, “To retire, where it all started in Louisana would be incredible for me in my career. Yes sir, [I will fight in the main event]. [I don’t have any opponent] quite yet. We’re still working on a couple of things.” It’s been a decade since the city has witnessed a UFC fight and it appears that now is the time for Dana White to put together a fight in the Cajun fighter’s hometown.
