A few days ago, former Cage Warriors and UFC dual champion of the world, Conor McGregor took to his X handle to announce that he is in discussions with the Ambani family and Logan Paul for an exhibition fight in India. This news rattled the entire combat sports community as McGregor’s anticipated return to the fight world was anticipated but no one thought it to be a boxing bout, in India no less. However, it must be noted that, aside from ‘Notorious,’ neither the Ambani family nor Logan Paul have given any sort of direct comment on the bout.

So, how much of truth is in it? Well, renowned MMA journalist, Ariel Helwani in his latest YouTube video has emphasized that the talks are really happening and we could witness their clash sooner.

“It is real that there is a very rich, very powerful, and very influential family in India known as the Ambani family that wants to get involved in a mega event. Are they looking to make a promotion? Are they looking to start something? Not necessarily. They want to put up an event, and they are thinking to themselves, ‘Who are the biggest names who can make this the biggest event?’ You can make a very strong case that it would be Conor McGregor and Jake Paul. But there are a lot of issues there. Again, Jake doesn’t want to negotiate if the UFC doesn’t get the bussing, and Conor can’t do this fight unless the UFC gives its blessings because he still has two fights left on the deal [contract].”, Helwani said.

What’s your perspective on:

Is the McGregor vs. Paul fight a publicity stunt or a genuine clash of titans?

He further added, “I know that both fight entities, both fighter parties are interested. The question is; can they get over all the hurdles and roadblocks in order to make this a reality?”. As of now, nothing can be said about the fate of Conor McGregor but one thing is certain – the Ambanis are up to something. For, now let us move on forward to Manel Kape, who issued a challenge to the Kiwi fighter Kai Kara France.

Manel Kape fires back at Kai Kara France

Manel Kape delivered a phenomenal performance at UFC Tampa against Bruno Silva, securing his 20th career victory. As a result, the MMA community is now calling for him to face the champion, Alexandre Pantoja. However, Kape decided to take shots at his previously scheduled opponent Kai Kara France, calling for a fight with him in his post-fight speech. While having a conversation with renowned journalist, Ariel Helwani, Kai Kara France was asked about his opinion on Manel Kape, to which the flyweight fighter stated, “He’s trying to get a reaction out of me. That’s why he’s saying my name now, even though he fought Mokaev and lost. He got very humbled there, and he still needs to be humbled. I’m not gonna give him the satisfaction, I’m worried about a title fight.”

His words have been taken into cognizance by the #6th ranked UFC fighter, Manel Kape who took to his X handle to provide a fiery response to France. “If there were no cameras you would be unconscious until now. And deep down you know that you’re my b**ch, [your] a** belongs to me. I’ll beat you till you love me f*****,” wrote Kape.

Well, Manel Kape and Kai Kara France were supposed to clash with one another at UFC 293. However, France pulled out of the fight as he suffered a concussion during training. and since then, the Angolan ‘StarBoy’ has been salty against him. Regardless, let us move on forward to Daniel Cormier, who appears to be excited to witness a clash between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.

Daniel Cormier makes a bold claim about Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones

After UFC 309 masterclass by Jon Jones, the entire MMA community wants one thing from the heavyweight champion and that is to clash against Tom Aspinall to unify the titles. Well, ‘Bones’ hinted at retirement after his clash with Stipe Miocic but the opposite happened as the fighter declared that he would continue fighting. This has opened the doors for a potential much-anticipated clash with Tom Aspinall. However, is the fight on the cards? Well, UFC insider Daniel Cormier asserted that the fight will certainly happen.

While having a conversation with ‘MMAJunkie,’ Cormier stated, “It tells me that they’re getting it done. It tells me that they’ve given Jon Jones a number big enough to get it done. Because I had always thought that Jones was, kind of, negotiating publicly. I don’t think for a second he’s afraid of anyone. I think that he was kind of going, ‘I want a number so big that I’m going to ride off into the sunset and be done’, but he’s also kind of laying the foundation for people to recognize that it’s almost over.”

He further added, “He’s about done, right? So, start getting ready for life after Jon Jones because I do believe that he’s laid the foundation for a massive payday, but what will be his final payday. I don’t think he’ll be a guy that if he gets beat, or if the fights get more competitive, will just stick around trying to make money.” Cormier doubled down on his quotes by stating that the UFC head honcho, Dana White, wouldn’t have made comments about Jones vs. Aspinall as “100% guaranteed” fight if he hadn’t been 100% sure about making it.
