Jake Gyllenhaal had a pretty good time filming ‘Road House’ alongside Conor McGregor. The film was a success and now there are plans for another movie in that series. Prime Video’s social media team shared news on the company’s Instagram account, declaring that Gyllenhaal’s ‘Elwood Dalton’ character will return to the screen in a sequel. Interestingly, the viewership of the movie reached almost 100 million, as many people opined that the best thing about the movie was Conor McGregor, who portrayed the villainous role of ‘Knox’.

Meanwhile, the Prime Video team did not announce if fans will get to see ‘The Notorious’ once again, even though his character was shown to be up and alive in the last scene of the previous flix. Nevertheless, Conor McGregor seems to be thrilled for his former co-star and wished, not just him, but the entire team well for the sequel. “Congrats guys, I wish you all the very best of luck with it,” McGregor commented. It will be interesting to see how the next movie shapes out to be and if it can surpass the massive success that was the initial one.

No Khabib Nurmagomedov for Islam Makachev at UFC 302

Ever since Khabib Nurmagomedov moved away from MMA, people just can’t stop speculating when he would return to help his protégé Islam Makhachev again. It has been a recurring theme since the start of last year about ‘The Eagle’ cornering the lightweight champion at UFC 284, UFC 294, and now, UFC 302. But there is bad news for the fans. Makhachev and Khabib’s cousin Usman Nurmagomedov recently shared a post on Instagram, where the reigning champion confirmed that he had assembled a special team to train for his upcoming title defense. However, there was a catch.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was nowhere to be seen in that post, which was a photo of Islam Makhachev standing side by side with his Dagestani compatriots, which also included welterweight star Belal Muhammad, at the American Kickboxing Academy. What could this mean? Is Khabib going to be a no-show at Makhachev’s biggest career fight? We still don’t have a clue, even though ‘The Eagle’ shared his protege’s post on his stories on Instagram.

Ian Garry will return to action against newcomer Michael ‘Venom’ Page

Undefeated Irish star Ian Garry looks like he’s back in the gym toil as he confirmed that he indeed has an opponent for his next fight. During an interview with talkSPORT’s Adam Catterall, ‘The Future’ weighed in on what Colby Covington had to say about a potential matchup between the two welterweight top 10s. Nevertheless, ‘Chaos’ recently mentioned that he would love a scrap against another fighter who’s on a hot streak, Belal Muhammad. This led Ian Garry to reveal that he, after talking with the UFC, agreed to take on the flashy Michael ‘Venom’ Page at UFC 303.

“I said yes to that name [MVP],” said Ian Garry. The 26-year-old also revealed that even though he’s agreed to the matchup, Michael Page is yet to give his confirmation due to some technicalities with his weight. “Him and his coaches are deciding because he feels a bit heavy.. to make weight in seven weeks’ time.” Garry’s confirmed that Page is the opponent to beat next, but will it be at UFC 303? We will find that out as this story takes shape in the days to come.
