Dana White sent a massive shockwave through the whole wide world by announcing Chandler’s fight against Charles Oliveira at UFC 309. This put McGregor’s future in the UFC in shadow. He currently has no fixed date or opponent to look forward to. At the press conference for BKFC 66, the Irishman revealed that he has been getting tested by the Drug Free Sport agency 13 times. But losing his opponent was something that he didn’t anticipate.
In his desperation, McGregor even sought help from the Saudi Arabian Adviser at the Royal Court. He said, “So, I’ve talked to Sheikh Turki (Alalshikh), and said, ‘Sheikh Turki, can you assist me here?’” The ‘Mystic Mac’ continued and claimed that he was out of the loop, and hoped that the UFC would make the fight between him and Chandler happen.
On top of that, he asked the UFC head honcho for an exemption. He has about 2 fights left in his contract and wishes to strike one of them off by fighting in a joint partnership. He said, “I need to be busy, and right now I’m working to get there. So, let’s what happens. Like I said, I have two fights left on the contract, and it’s taking a minute, but you know, patience is one of the most important skills a human being can possess, study, learn, and implement, and that’s where I’m at right now.”
