She captioned the post with a single, “Date Night” followed by a heart emoji, and the post quickly gained popularity among her followers as it accumulated nearly 40,000 likes within hours. Despite the recent public setback, Devlin is adamant about not leaving her fiancé in all of this. In a previous post, she went on a furious tirade against Nikita Hand, labeling her allegations against her fiancé as false, and defended her relationship with McGregor.

What’s your perspective on:

Does Belal Muhammad have a point about Colby Covington's place in the UFC rankings?

“No one is entitled to comment on our relationship – we trust one another and love one another. Nothing will change that. Our family stands strong!” Devlin declared. Conor McGregor might have made a grave mistake by involving himself with Nikita Hand but for Devlin, it’s all in the past. From the Irish superstar, let us move on forward to Dana White, who could sign another hotshot from the Bellator.

Bellator legend discusses release to compete under Dana White’s UFC

Signing Michael Chandler from Bellator was one of the best decisions that the UFC CEO Dana White has made in recent times, as ‘Iron’ Mike turned out to be a fan-favorite, given his exciting fighting style, despite not winning on the judges’ scorecards. Now, it appears that the UFC head honcho might commit that same act again but this time with Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire. Why? Well, that’s because the Bellator star appears to be fed up with the way the promotion is treating its fighters after being merged with the PFL. According to the fighter, the PFL is sidelining fighters and he is one of them.

Talking to Ariel Helwani, ‘Pitbull’ emphasized that if things continue to be the same, then it is better for the promotion to release him so that he can fight under other promotions like UFC, “The Bellator that I helped build is no more… The history that I made in Bellator was beautiful but it’s a cycle that has come to an end. It’s not the same place anymore, things aren’t working like they used to. And I think we just have to move our separate ways, no strings attached.”

He further added, “Now, for me, it’s about legacy. I want to fight in the UFC. That’s all… When Dana White doesn’t want someone, he just says no, but when he was asked about me at the recent press conference, he gave a so-so kind of answer. So I’m sure that when I’m free, he will be able to speak more openly.”  Cementing his status as a legitimate fighter is the most important thing for him.

Patricio Freire’s signing to the UFC could rake in massive numbers, especially if he’s paired with his former foe from Bellator, Michael Chandler. As of now, it remains to be seen if White will bring him over. Next, let’s take a look at the welterweight division, and its champion who had some harsh words for Colby Covington.

Belal Muhammad gives his honest critique of Colby Covington’s loss

Colby Covington fa͏c͏ed a br͏utal defeat at͏ the ͏h͏ands o͏f Jo͏aquin Buckley a͏t UFC Tampa. ‘͏New Man͏sa͏’ took ‘Cha͏os’ in͏t͏o deep waters on the feet, cutting him and causing him to bleed ͏so ba͏dly that th͏e do͏ctors͏ had to inte͏rvene in the thi͏rd round, pausi͏ng the match ͏and awarding ͏the ͏v͏ictory to Bu͏ckley. Well, Covington is riding a two-fight losing streak now and no one is happier about it than UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad.

While having a conversation with the media, Muhammad stated that he loved it when Covington bled, “It felt so good to watch him [Covington] bleed. I was just hoping the doctor would let it go a little bit more because now you open the door for Colby to make excuses. Bro, you’re literally getting pieced up in every way,” said Muhammad.

He further added, “You’re losing the grappling, you’re losing the striking, you’re losing the kickboxing, you even lost the walkout… There are better athletes now, there are better guys now, that are seeing all this stuff… I think they will realize that [Covington] does suck, he doesn’t belong in the top 5 in the UFC. I don’t think he’ll beat anybody in the top 10 in the UFC.”

Well, the fate of Covington is uncertain as he no longer has the backing of American Top Team, or high-level teammates to train with and sharpen his skills. Regardless, what’s your take on Belal Muhammad’s comments on Colby Covington? State your thoughts in the comment section below.
