Khabib Nurmagomedov’s brother Usman remained undefeated after his recent win over Brent Primus at Bellator 300. He racked up a unanimous decision victory and extended his record to 18 wins and 0 losses. However, during the post-fight press conference, reporters were curious to know whether his brother and UFC Hall of Famer would be present in Islam Makhachev’s corner at UFC 294. So they asked him about Khabib’s status. However, Usman Nurmagomedov claims that it is unlikely that his brother will be there in Abu Dhabi.

“He’s not gonna be cornering Islam,” said Usman Nurmagomedov. He also claimed that his brother is always training despite retiring from the sport. So he was in the UAE just to train with Islam Makhachev. “Khabib always training. He just come to Dubai to train and stay with these guys,” Usman added. Hence, it means that Khabib Nurmagomedov is not too keen on returning, even as a cornerman for his protégé after retiring from all aspects of MMA.
