Conor McGregor seemed pretty happy when made $1.6 million after putting all his money on former rival Nate Diaz, who went on to get his redemption on Jorge Masvidal in their boxing clash over a week ago. However, that wasn’t it because ‘The Notorious’ earned a whole lot more during his birthday week. The world of soccer has been on fire as fans were engaged in two of the biggest continental championships in the sport.

Conor McGregor had recently mentioned the final of the 2024 European Championship, predicting the Spanish national team to win it after speaking highly of the 16-year-old talent, Lamine Yamal. And that is exactly what happened. He made $1.2 million for that ‘Mystic Mac’ prediction, and you wouldn’t believe that another prediction for the match nearly came true. ‘The Notorious’ initially predicted a 3-1 win for Spain but the match ended with a 2-1 scoreline as England faced consecutive defeat in Euro finals. He lost the chance to win $2.2 million there.

On the other hand, Conor McGregor was also watching Lionel Messi in action in the Copa America finals. ‘La Pulga’ won his second continental trophy in the Argentine jersey. How much do you think McGregor made from this match? Well, putting all his money on Argentina made him $1 million. All of these winnings amounted to a total of around $3.8 million, and by the looks of it, sitting on the sidelines hasn’t been that bad for McGregor after all.

Dana White and Kid Rock donate to Donald Trump

The world was taken aback more than 24 hours ago after an assassination attempt on Donald Trump blew up the news. The former president was apparently hosting a rally and interacting with the people in Butler, Pennsylvania, but things quickly went haywire after a gunman fired eight rounds on the 78-year-old. Thankfully, Trump wasn’t seriously injured, but one of the eight shots fired at him clipped his ear and he was bleeding when the Secret Service agents took him to safety.

UFC CEO Dana White was disgusted with this incident because it not only affected Trump but some of the people at his rally as well. Hence, to compensate the victims and their families, Trump approved the start of a GoFundMe page, and guess what? The UFC boss, along with renowned musician, Kid Rock, who’s a massive advocate of the former president, donated a significant amount of $50,000, as per The Independent. The total amount of the donations has reached almost $2 million. Now, let’s end this roundup edition with news from the lightweight division of the UFC.

Arman Tsarukyan wants Khamzat Chimaev’s help to tackle Islam Makhachev

Arman Tsarukyan is not the same fighter who lost to Islam Makhachev on his UFC debut, or at least, that’s what the Armenian star claims. But it seems like he’s not taking any chances ahead of the biggest fight of his career, so what does he do? He believes middleweight star Khamzat Chimaev will be an excellent training partner for him to increase his chances of winning the coveted 155-pound gold due to the similarity of his fighting style with Makhachev.

“Khamzat fights well and will test his strength. To be honest, he is there, and if there’s an opportunity to train with him, it would be good. Since he is tall and can work in a left-handed stance, I will ask him to train with me. In general, his build is similar to Islam’s,” said Arman Tsarukyan in a recent interview. It remains to be seen if Khamzat Chimaev will accept his invitation and that decision turns out to be the x-factor for ‘Ahalkalakets.’
