The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) garnered big mainstream attention since partnering with ESPN. However, they recently got slapped with a lawsuit as confirmed by a few sources. The lawsuit is related to the alleged use of illegal business practices.

A class action lawsuit that was filed over a decade ago finally got certified on August 9th. No exact timeline has been established regarding the next steps of the legal action. Moreover, UFC President Dana White has yet to make a statement on this matter.

Derrick Lewis signs a new deal with UFC

Moreover, Dana White mentioned earlier that Derrick Lewis was considering retirement due to a 3-fight losing streak before his UFC 291 win.

However, none of that came to fruition as ‘The Black Beast’ signed a new 8-fight deal with the UFC. His re-signing put to bed a potential fight against ‘The Predator’. Now, fans will get to see more of Lewis in the world’s biggest MMA promotion.
