Ian Garry might step up to fight Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310

The Shavkat R͏akhmonov vs. ͏Belal Muhammad͏ fight was originally set as the main ͏event for U͏FC 310. However, with Mu͏hammad pull͏ing ͏ou͏t, UFC C͏EO ͏Dana White n͏ow faces a signif͏icant dilem͏ma: f͏inding a new oppo͏nent for ͏the undefeated 18-0 Kazakh fighter͏. After the fallout of the welterweight title fight, Rakhmonov took to his X handle to ascertain that he would be ready to face any opponent for the interim championship and it appears that the fighter finally got a challenger.

Ian ‘The Future’ Garty took to his Instagram handle to reshare an old video of him having an interaction with the media where he challenged Shavkat Rakhmonov. He said, “There’s some big names [to fight next], there are some cool matchups. There’s Shavkat [Rakhmonov], 18-0. I’d love to get my hands on him. I’ve nothing but respect for him, but I wanna be the guy to take his 0, and I know I can do it.”

He further added, “That fight excites me so much. I’ve got nothing but respect for the dude, but I don’t want anyone else to beat him before me. He’s 18-0, I’m 15-0, let’s go on and put on a show. Let’s see who’s really better.” Their fight might have the potential to save the jeopardized UFC 310 card but will the UFC CEO agree to this fight? Only time will tell. For now, let us move on forward to Derrick Lewis’s confession about Francis Ngannou.
