After weeks of anticipation, Dana White recently announced that light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira will defend his title for the first time against former champion Jamahal Hill in the main event of UFC 300. Following this news, ‘Poatan’ posted a video on his YouTube channel, where he mentioned his urge to fight at UFC 301 in Brazil less than a month after his fight against ‘Sweet Dreams’.

Like many fighters, Alex Pereira wants to defend his title in his native country of Brazil. To do that, he wants to do what no champion in the UFC has done yet and defend his title in back-to-back pay-per-views. Pereira claims to have done the exact same thing in kickboxing and doesn’t see any reason he can’t do that in the UFC as well.

“That [fighting back to back at UFC 300 and UFC 301] is a very big possibility because… if he doesn’t get hurt [against Jamahal Hill], he did this before in kickboxing so… [If] everything goes fine, there’s a big chance he’ll try to defend the belt very fast,” said Alex Pereira’s translator. We will have to wait and see if Dana White agrees to that proposition.

Alexander Volkanovski provides an insider update about a rematch against Ilia Topuria

Georgian-Spaniard star Ilia Topuria shocked the world after he knocked out Alexander Volkanovski to win the featherweight title at UFC 298. He put an end to ‘The Great’s 4-year-long reign as the kingpin of the 145-pound division. Meanwhile, the Aussie star has expressed his plan to fight in a rematch in a recent video he posted on YouTube.

Alexander Volkanovksi mentioned that there is a possibility that the rematch for the title could take place in Spain, given that Dana White has already claimed to be interested in setting up an event at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. “I definitely want that rematch. Spain’s the [venue] is what I’m hearing is going to happen. Dana wants Spain. Obviously, Ilia wants Spain,” voiced ‘The Great’. It remains to be seen how Dana White will respond to this rematch call as we wait to see how the UFC Spain event pans out.

While speaking during the UFC 298 broadcast, Michael Bisping made a hilarious botch. The Hall of Famer, on Saturday night, made an NSFW slip-up during the signing out speech of the PPV’s broadcast. Bisping waited for the camera and his microphone to turn off, but it took a little too much time. However, ‘The Count’ was not aware of it.

Michael Bisping assumed that the telecast had ended, leading him to let out a slur which was captured on camera. He said, “What a guy. That’s f***ing g*y. Come on.” A user on X (fka Twitter) shared a video clip of that moment, which went viral among UFC fans. While what has happened cannot be undone, Bisping may look to be a little more careful about not letting such slip-ups take place again.
