The UFC 284 didn’t quite go Alexander Volkanovski‘s way. Despite putting up a stupendous fight against the lightweight king, Islam Makhachev, the Australian fell short of achieving his target. A lot of fans knew that Makhachev had to face some complications while cutting his weight. Volkanovski also talked about Makhachev’s weight and revealed from his knowledge, “I’ve heard it gets up to like yeah 180, like 83 kilograms closely. So it could be yeah like, you know it’s. You fill up pretty quick, you know, with IVs and stuff like that, yeah.”
Although he didn’t place any direct accusations, the bashing intent could be realized from his words. Hence, when Helwani made questions related to weight, ‘Volk’ didn’t let the opportunity go and put light on how Makhachev might have gained an unfair advantage.
