Hollywood star bashed the UFC and Conor McGregor

The famed Hollywood actor, Liam Neeson, is lauded by many across the world for his award-winning roles. But, the Irish actor apparently doesn’t find the UFC interesting. Recently, the ‘Love Actually’ actor gave out some stern words for Dana White‘s UFC and its star, Conor McGregor.

He stated, “UFC I can’t stand”. Apparently, he was against all the violence and bloodshed that the fighters had to go through to earn money. He also asked UFC fighters to “just grab a beer bottle and hit the other guy over the head? That’s the next stage of the UFC.”

Neeson also vented out his distaste regarding his fellow country-mate and the UFC star Conor McGregor. Neeson stated, “That little leprechaun Conor McGregor, he gives Ireland a bad name”.

He had little appreciation and a lot against McGregor. He mentioned, “I know he’s fit, and I admire him for that. But I can’t take it”. UFC fans probably know a lot of others who share the same opinion as Neeson.

Laura Sanko described her experiences having both noble and toxic fans

The UFC and ESPN analyst, Laura Sanko, achieved a great milestone when she was elected as the UFC color commentator. Sanko was the second female color commentator appointed by the company after Kathy Long. In a recent press conference, Sanko revealed the overwhelming response she had received from MMA fans after her achievement.

But, Sanko pointed out in her press conference that there were toxic people as well apart from the well-wishing ones. She talked about how social media can be a “double-edged sword”.

Sanko said, “I feel like some core of the fanbase has been on the ride with me”. She also thanked her genuine fans who had been with her since her Invicta FC days.

But she also talked about the negativity she had seen, stating, “Women get commented on in a particular way which men will never get”. She also stated that she had been through a lot of indecent questioning” as she made “her way up there”.

Noted MMA veterans to grace the retirement felicitation ceremony of Fedor Emelianenko

Fedor Emelianenko will go down in the books of the sport as one of the legends. The Russian fighter has earned multiple accolades under his name, most notably the title, “the top MMA fighter of the 2000s” given by ‘Sports Illustrated’.

Emelianenko is all set to have the final MMA bout of his decorated career at Bellator 290. The promotion’s CEO, Scott Coker, appeared on Ariel Helwani’s podcast and talked about the multiple noted MMA veterans who would be joining the felicitation ceremony of Emelianenko.

Coker revealed that the star-studded list will also have the legendary fighters, Mark Coleman, Royce Gracie, Renzo Gracie, Chuck Liddell, and many more.
