Leon Edwards gave out the timeline for his next bout ignoring Colby Covington
Right from the conclusion of UFC 286, there had been a lot of talks regarding the next Welterweight title fight. While the coveted, Colby Covington, revealed that he would be fighting the Welterweight king, Leon Edwards, in July, the UFC supremo, Dana White, didn’t confirm the timeline of the fight. Covington had also revealed that the UFC and White had assured him of stripping Edwards of the title if he refused the fight with him.
Amid all this, the champ, Leon Edwards finally provided his preferred timeline for his next title defense. In a recent interview with ‘Sky Sports’, ‘Rocky’ revealed that he won’t be accepting any fight in July unless he is offered a sumptuous amount. He said, “I fought under a month ago. ‘Rocky’ further justified himself by stating, “I get time to nurse my injuries, I get time to get back into it. I feel like Abu Dhabi would be perfect”. A lot might support Edwards’ regarding this issue. There was hardly any champion in the UFC who would have accepted a fight just after a couple of months from his previous one.

Pereira also took to his Twitter and tweeted, “Where are now the LHW, who were talking about me, when I was in middleweight ?”
