The rapidly changing world of MMA maintained its nature in the last few hours as well. From noted partnerships to interesting opinions about fighters, the last few revolutions of the clock hands saw quite some noted events. This edition of the news roundup will keep you informed about the most noted events of the MMA world that took place recently. The noted YouTuber boxer, Jake Paul, gave out his views on his brother’s first-ever partnership with the UFC. ‘The Problem Child’ also had a wish regarding the revenues of this collaboration. The Bellator MMA chief, Scott Coker, revealed a rather startling fact about the noted MMA star, Anderson Silva. Lastly, the former UFC champ-champ, Daniel Cormier gave out his take on the recent form of the heavyweight, Derrick Lewis.
Jake Paul gave his opinion on Logan Paul’s PRIME collaboration with the UFC
The UFC supremo, Dana White, had been unwilling to allow any of the Paul brothers, Logan or Jake, into the UFC Octagon. But when it came to business, both parties could hardly resist a partnership. Recently, the UFC announced Logan Paul’s ‘PRIME Hydration Drink’ as its official sports drink. This collaboration will also see the UFC renaming the red and blue corners to “PRIME Hydration Recovery Zone.”

Logan’s brother Jake Paul vented out his pleasure about the success of his brother’s business venture, although he had no connection to it. Jake stated, “I’m always happy for my brother’s successes, and while I have zero involvement in his drink, I hope UFC will share the revenue it receives with fighters”.
‘The Problem Child’ had always been vocal about fighters receiving their deserved payment, which some promotions ignore. Evidently, he once more raised his voice about this issue.
Bellator’s Scott Coker revealed Anderson Silva’s refusal to an MMA fight for boxing
Anderson Silva and Fedor Emelianenko are both household names in the world of MMA. But the significant weight difference between the two restricted any possibility of a bout between them. Also, ‘The Spider’ joined the UFC happily and claimed accolades to his name. But, the Heavyweight fighter, Emelianenko could never arrive at an agreement of terms with the UFC.
Recently, the Bellator president, Scott Coker, revealed how he had provided Anderson Silva with an opportunity to compete in this potential enthraller. But, he also stated that ‘The Spider’ turned this opportunity down. As reported by ‘MMA Mania’, he mentioned, “He chose to just box and he wanted to fight in a boxing match against Jake [Paul] and he said the wear and tear on his body to do MMA was too tough. So, he declined the fight”.
It was evident that Coker had offered the fight to Silva, who chose to go for the easy money in boxing instead of the physical punishment in MMA. The story could’ve surely been something else had he been in his prime.
Daniel Cormier gave his strong opinion saying Derrick Lewis will never reach the top again
The noted former two-weight division champ of the UFC, Daniel Cormier, gave out his eye-enlarging prediction recently. Cormier talked about the UFC Heavyweight, Derrick Lewis.
‘DC’, as reported by ‘MMA Junkie’, picked out Lewis as the victor in his upcoming UFC Fight Night 218 bout against Sergey Spivac. He said, “I’m gonna tap in that Derrick Lewis wins the fight. I think he’s gonna knock him out“. But ‘DC’ had one more prediction for Lewis as well.

He was of the opinion that it would probably be impossible for Lewis to rank at the top of the Heavyweight division anymore. Cormier stated, “I think Derrick’s absolutely done at the top of the division. I just don’t know if he still can’t knock out No. 10, 11, 12, 13, because I just don’t think those guys are as good as they are.”
It was probably because of Lewis’ current form with consecutive losses against Ciryl Gane, Tai Tuivasa, and surging contender Sergei Pavlovich that made Cormier think about the things he stated.
