Lastly, the former UFC Heavyweight kingpin, Stipe Miocic, revealed that he would be having his next bout at International Fight Week.
Even Dana White would have gone broke if he took leaves like fighters
The UFC supremo, Dana White was no stranger to criticism. And UFC Fighter pay was probably the issue that had probably subjected him the most to criticism. A lot of fans and noted MMA world personalities have taken digs at White regarding this matter multiple times.

But, the 53-year-old had also answered a few of them with his own justifications. Recently, the UFC supremo addressed the same issue once more, implying that the UFC pays enough to its fighters. White also dragged himself into the comparison this time to support his notion.

White put up how the GOAT contender, Jon Jones, took a prolonged leave of 3 years prior to his UFC 285 return. He also implied how ‘Bones’ didn’t seem to face any financial trouble. He also compared himself to ‘Bones’ stating, “I’d be broke as a joke if I disappear for 3 years [like Jon Jones]”.
However, the comments section of the tweet was filled with fans expressing their contradiction with White‘s words.
Jake Gyllenhaal appeared along with Conor McGregor at the UFC 285 weigh-ins
The UFC 285 pre-bout weigh-ins proved to be an enthraller for the fans. Increasing the fans’ excitement, Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane both made their weights successfully confirming their bout. Further, the pre-bout weigh-ins of UFC 285 also featured the UFC icon, Conor McGregor, and the noted Hollywood star, Jake Gyllenhaal.
After the weigh-in for the main event, the Irishman took to the stage and greeted the Las Vegas fans. He also informed that all the people in the arena would be a part of his movie, ‘The Road House’. Gyllenhaal took the stage right afterward to shoot a stare-down scene for the movie. The stare-down was scripted to be a chaotic one and also involved Gyllenhaal slapping his staged opponent, the UFC veteran, Jay Hieron.
The crowd’s response made it evident that the staged weigh-in and chaotic stare-down absolutely enthralled them.
Stipe Miocic gave out news about his International Fight Week bout
The former UFC Heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic, had some noteworthy news about his next possible bout. Miocic was recently interviewed by his former rival, Daniel Cormier, where he stated that he already had offers from the UFC to have his next fight at International Fight Week in July.

‘The Silencer’ stated, “They called me. In July. They said fight in international fight week. That’s what I was told”. Miocic also clarified the haze regarding his opponent for the International Fight Week matchup. He mentioned, “Whoever it is, I’m taking on the winner next”.

He meant that the winner of the coveted UFC 285, Jones vs Gane main event, would expectedly be his opponent for his bout in July.
