What happened in the fight at UFC 282?
Both the fighters remained cautious of each other and Curtis started with a jab and legs combo and, as usual, relied on his counterattack skills. But the opponent, a wild fighter, put the pressure initially as pushed forward with leg kicks, and punches combo. But ‘Action-Man’
caught the opponent lacking and landed a clean, powerful left punch in the first round. However, the 28-year-old fighter became a victim of a low blow in the same round.
After the brief break, the 15-5 record holder mixed his approach. But Curtis remained unfazed and faced the full blunt of Buckley’s punches. Therefore, the first round was the perfect example of the 35-year-old fighter’s noted skills, tight defense, and dangerous counterattack skills.
The 29-9 record holder picked pace in the second round, but ‘New Mansa’ further the pressure on the peddle. Therefore, Buckley threw high voluminous punches and remained higher on output. Significantly, Finney’s HIT Squad team representative troubled Curtis with his combo punches.
